This is my first visit to Rafael’s Pizza and I am very happy that I stopped in. I don’t live in this area, so I decided to order a personal pizza to dine in, and an order of spaghetti and meatballs, and lasagna with meat sauce to go. I ordered a small pizza and was pleasantly surprised that it is big enough for four servings. The spaghetti and meatballs is easily big enough for two to three servings, and the lasagna with meat sauce is the same. On top of all that, there are four servings of garlic bread included. I have enough food for more than a week and it’s ALL very tasty. What a great deal! So glad that I stopped by.
First time customer. I got bad customer service and the mediocre food was 30 minutes late.I was hungry for pizza and wanted to support a local business. Rafael's had amazing reviews so I paid $75 for a large pepperoni, a medium cheese and 18 piece hot wings including delivery and tip.Unfortunately the food was late. I called twice to ask about my food. Maria was very short with me. I asked for a manager. She put me on hold for 3 mins. Maria came back on (I never got to speak to a manager) and informed me that the driver was 2 mins from my house. She never asked me for my name or my order. She never apologized and was nothing but short and rude. Maria did not care ?The food itself was mediocre. The pizza was ok, not great but not bad (I am perplexed by the good reviews). The wings were straight up bad as they had thick soggy skin and bland flavor.Not worth the wait, not worth the bad customer service and not worth $75.Do better, Rafael's Pizza.
Benissimo! If you like good pizza, this is the spot. I worked pizza in my past and I remember how much dedication our owner had into making a good pie. So whenever I get a chance to try a new pizza place I am always critical. Is the cheese good? Is the crust done well? How about the sauce? Quality of toppings?Rafael’s Pizza in Santa Ana meets all these criteria. I was blown away the first time I picked up one of their specialty pizzas. The cheese is good quality. The dough is amazing the sauce is just right and the toppings are high quality. They have a great selection. The staff are very friendly and it’s an easy place to hang out and have lunch or dinner.Good specials. Awesome service. Love this place.
Hands down some of the best pizza and wings I ever had… and I’ve had a lot of pizza. The bbq chicken pizza and the fresh wings are to die for! Definitely coming back for more.

Causal pizza place offering a calzone pit stop visit for single diners not wanting a whole pizza. I had eaten here once before, but it had been many years. The calzone was good and, while cooked, could have remained in oven a little longer to fully melt inside cheese. The cost is a little on the expensive side, but not excessive by any means or out of the ordinary for the stand alone business not efficiently streamlined as would be found in franchise chains. For those looking for a pizza place with a hearty fresh tomato marinara, this is a good spot, though the sauce could use some additional spices of garlic and cayanne pepper for my personal preference. Service was fast from time of order, so those in a time crunch, this could also be a good choice.
I eat in this spot a lot since I work close by. I must say their customer service is always excellent and they keep the spot clean regularly. Pricing is affordable and they serve big portions.
It was good pizza but very expensive and definitely don't like paying 40+ for 1 pizza and 2 small drinks bottom was a bit soggy.
Okay, so I dont like writing bad reviews on small businesses unless it's absolutely warranted. 3 stars isn't what I consider bad, but I'll give them another try and update me review after my next visit.Flavor was good, I ordered online and there was no where to add comments and I usually like my pizza well done. I will call it in next time and ask for it to be made well done.Service was prompt and pick up time was accurate. I also liked that they sent me a text notification when my order was ready. Nice touch!Location was great, inside it looked very clean and I could have probably ordered and eaten my pizza there as they had a TV with the game on and plenty of seating available.Lastly, the reason for my 3 stars. I order a large, half pepperoni w/sausage and half pepperoni, pineapple and jalapenos. I double checked my order confirmation to verify. Unfortunately, they forgot the jalapenos. Like I noted above, I'll order again and update my review if it's accurate next time.I also ordered a small cinnamon sticks, they were delicious!
Was very unimpressed by the customer service. Walked in and the man working didn’t greet or welcome us. It was my fist time here and when I mentioned it was our first time the associate didn’t give us a quick menu rundown or mention any specials, as many places usually do. The food was good but better and friendlier service would have been the cherry on top.
