Overall, a pretty good comfort food experience that could be a quick meal of juicy buns. However, I don’t think that on the spectrum of pan-fried buns these were spectacular. The color on the buns was great, but the texture of the bun is weak. The contrast of fluffy dough and crispy bottom is what makes it good, and I feel like the doughy bun was just okay in quality. The insides were all rich in flavor, but nothing to write home about.
This place is fantastic and clean. I came here especially for the house special pan-fried bun, it was delicious and didn’t disappoint us, it was AMAZING. Almost every table have an order of this bun so if you love pan-fried bun, this is a place for you. The service was good and the servers were friendly. Will definitely come back!!
Super delicious, have been there many times. What impresses me most is that the bottom of the bread is crispy! Soup is also my favorite food and I order a different soup every time I go. The portion is large and delicious, enough for three or four people, I like it very much, and it is highly recommended.
I don’t really write reviews after I go somewhere. But I will definitely give them a 5 star because this is one of my favorite Chinese restaurant. They have amazing food here, especially the house special pan-fried pork Bun and their beef rolls. I would love to order more if I have enough money. Definitely worth a try.
Finally trying out this place after seeing endless good reviews. The photos of the food just told me to go there. I got the pan fried buns assorted set, the beef pancakes, and the beef hot pot. The hot pot broth is a bit more salty than I would prefer but I probably have a preference of more bland over more salty. It's probably ok for most people. Plenty of beef, veggies, and other goodies in the soup. Overall about a 7/10. The beef pancakes are better known as beef rolls at other similar Chinese restaurants. However, very good nevertheless. If you like extra cilantro, this one has it. Tasty inside, crispy outside. Overall 8/10. The assorted pan fried buns is a good way to sample the buns of you aren't sure what to get. The house special, seafood, and curry were all great. Nice and crispy on the bottom, super juicy on the inside. Close to perfect. Overall 9/10.
This was a fantastic surprise! A new experience that isn't just novel but delicious & habit worthy. We found this spot on vacation & plan to visit a 2nd time before we leave. Fresh hot food. Be warned..... it's greasy but delicious (can't be surprised by that with the words "pan fried" in the name. Cute pillows on the seats, comfortable chairs, enjoyable decor. Loved it!
If you like soup dumplings, Xiao long bao, you definitely will like the bun version. This restaurant serves up these cute little buns that are very delicious. There is a technique in eating them. Break the top, eat the meat, suck the juice and finish the crunchy bottom.
TLDR: good food, terrible service.Waited more than 45 minutes for the food while others, who arrived after us, were served. The waiter couldn't recommend anything and brought the wrong dish three times. We never got a sense he actually cared. The beef pancake was tasty with a slight Vietnamese flavor and cilantro. The curry, house special, and shrimp-leek fried buns were good. Only a single shrimp hides in the bun so don't expect a much.Given the painful experience I doubt I'd want to return.
Nice place. I just stopped to use the restroom. They were friendly. The place was clean. Restroom was well stocked and reasonably clean. As I left I looked at the menu and I may stop next time and eat.The restroom get 4 stars!
Beef roll, house pork Bun, picked cucumbers. Can't go wrong. Definitely a great find if you can eat there even better as it comes out hot!!
