The staff here are wonderful and charming! I tend to see the same few faces and it's always great to see them. The coffee itself is wonderful and I'm always excited to see what's new on the menu whenever I make my way to DTSA

My friend took me to Hopper and Burr after we hit the trail. I got the frozen sweet latte and avocado toast and my friend got the cola and avocado toast. Everything was delicious! The avocado toast comes on bread thats thick and soft but also really crunchy. They put a soft boiled egg on top and it really is super tasty. The frozen sweet latte was not overly sweet and really hit the spot. The cola is tonic water with espresso and while that sounded out there to me, it was also super tasty. There's a fair amount of seating and the inside is very airy with lots of natural light. So good for a morning out.

The best coffee in Southern California-Bar None. The baristas are so consistent. I have been drinking coffee in Oregon and Seattle for the last 20 years and it is hard to find drinkable coffee in Southern California. This place is the best I have found in this area. Thank you for being close.

Been there a number of times. A barista at a favorite and most trusted coffee spot recommended them when discussing shockingly consistent coffee. Coffee matches specialty coffee expectations if not exceeding them. Their coffee drink range is a bit more extensive than other shops given the inclusion of drinks like espresso tonics. That is notable because not all shops make them. Hopper and Burr apparently also makes their own tonic water , which is quite extra in my mind. That said, they offer many drinks and items that are quite extra from rather delicious looking food items to wine and beer. Pretty interesting for a coffee shop.

Wow. Coffee was really good here. Wasn’t too sure about it but glad I tried it, one of my new favorite spots now.

Cool little coffee shop. As a non-coffee drinker, they have a few delicious options like chia tea and a homemade soda. The staff is super friendly, and don't mind being chatted up. It can get busy. The toast is expensive but really delicious

Hopper & Burr is downstairs from our office here at The Spurgeon Building. It’s a hip coffee shop, and I highly recommend it. My favorite drink there is the Iced Vanilla Latte with almond milk. There are usually people there either meeting clients or working on their laptops. If you love to support smaller businesses as we do, you must try it out!

Amazing atmosphere and coffee. Came out of my way to try an espresso here and was not disappointed.I started to make espresso at my house and wanted to grab some beans here. Had a double shot espresso and realized how great an espresso can taste when prepared in an expert way.I highly recommend coming here for coffee and a snack.

This place is amazing! Ordered an iced cortado for my partner who said it was great and I got an iced latte with the house made almond milk and it was one of the best coffees I’ve ever had. Atmosphere was also so lovely to sit and read/chill/work, plus the staff were all incredibly friendly

The reason for the one star review is because the kitchen staff “forgot” to tell the barista that my order is ready nor handed my order to her. The coffee was good the barista girl was so professional and kind, she apologized many times (even though it's not her fault) and offered me a free drink, but unfortunately, I had two cups of coffee while waiting my order (over 20 minutes).
