FURAIBO GARDENA: I discovered just before to move to Cabo. I went everyday ( memorial WE) after this first visit. Food is divine, chicken wings are not to compare with the usual chicken wings, it is a delicacy. The first day we had an unbelievable friendly and attentive waitress, she knew all our nephews and nieces for 25 years. An exceptional person with rare qualities. I recommend this restaurant and as soon I have to be in LA I will. of course go every day I am in LA. Bravo for the chef, the people, the ambiance. I miss it every day.
FuRaiBo Izakaya is just down the street from South Coast Plaza and if you haven't experienced their food, you most certainly are missing out. A staple in Santa Monica with a location in Orange County is a must experience of flavors. Perfect for lunch and dinner any day of the week. Dine in and the same time make sure you do not forget to take an order of their tasty chicken wings to go!
Their specialty is a fried chicken and I admit I was skeptical at first. But it was amazing (not really spicy at all though) - very flavorful, definitely worth trying out!
The food was tasty, the prices reasonable, wait-staff was super friendly, and atmosphere pleasant and enjoyable. A great dining experience.

We enjoyed this Izakaya. We especially enjoyed the Miso Soup, fried chicken, mushroom dishes, agedashi tofu and I really enjoyed the fried shrimp. This has been bookmarked for the future!

Amazing food! Small plates, fair price and are super delicate and flavorful. Unlike other places like this you do fill up here - won't leave hungry. Loved the dishes I got! Favorite ones are fried fish with tofu and cheese, and ground pork over rice. Highly recommended! ?(Edit: forgot to mention the waiter is super friendly too, fast and efficient and checked on us a few times if everything was ok).
