Food wasn’t bad, service was slower but they were kinda busy. Had to order through the app went to pay and the staff said they couldn’t split our check into four tickets. Said system wouldn’t allow them too.All this technology and no one smart enough to run it.

This restaurant is playing music loud at the same time the airport is playing the terminal music and a coffee shop on the other side. So you can hear three different songs going at once at 6am. Enough to drive someone nuts!!!

Had a sculpin and shrimp fajitas. The fajitas were small and I was still hungry after eating them. Decent tasting otherwise but not amazing.

Rudest/Worst wait staff we’ve ever come across, and that’s the best thing I can say about it. Better choice to walk a few feet away and grab a hot burger there!!!

Food and beer were great. Great experience until shift change where I tabbed out for the lady leaving. Nbd, left her a good tip. Then the next one ignored us for an hour then told us we needed to leave for others waiting. Guess they cut me off after two beers.

A huge shout out to Hope and Brooke for always providing excellent customer service! My husband and I always stop by for breakfast and libations. Both Hope and Brooke never lack to putting a smiling face our way. They are both sensational!Gloria

This used to be a really great spot for a preflight cocktail and food, but the service and quality of food has really gone down hill. Sad

Besides the aggravating knat a decent experience.

Food wasn't that great nachos didn't have kind of spice on them at all no jalapenos or anything. It's a seat to yourself place so took a while for a while for me to get served because no one knew I was there

Located in John Wayne Airport (Santa Ana/Orange County), I always seem to find a way to stop by the Breakaway Bar & Grill before my flight..Here's what I've had from my last couple of visits in 2021Spicy Wings- decent wings for an airport resto. Generous with the meat an pretty spicy sauce. If you're going carb free, the spicy wings will work for you..Angus Burger- This is a pretty tasty cheeseburger served with skinny fries. They cooked it at a perfect medium rare for me. This was the perfect dish for me before I started downing IPAs and tequila to kill time...Speaking of which.. the draft beer and shot for me went like this: Goose IPA + Don Julio Blanco $18.49 THe entrees are in the $15-$17 range...pricey? Yes, but you already knew that because you're in the airport right? heheI love how you seat yourself and servers always stopped by almost immediately after I sat down. They would check on me and were overall generally very friendly. There's a full bar and plenty of flat screen TVs throughout to kill time watching the game. I like sitting in the booths in the back to watch airplanes land and take off. =)This has always been a nice safe option for me whenever I'm at John Wayne Airport. Always use a designated pilot. Cheers!
