Showed up at 9pm and ordered oysters and shrimp boil. The waiter kept saying there was a deal because it was happy hour but my bill was $68 for one person. At first he said corn and potatoes came with it; then he said it didn’t with that kind of shrimp. They served the shrimp boil on the table and when I asked for a plate I received a small paper side dish you would get from at a county fair. They also gave me a plastic fork to eat my oysters??? I ordered a margarita that was weak and strange to the taste. The waiter did not check back on me, they had no lemons for seafood… just limes and a comment of they just found out. If you are looking for a California seafood experience this is not the place folks.
Coming from Canada, I like to try a lot of different restaurants, thanks to my friend Polo we came here. We were not disappointed! The food was amazing and the service was impeccable. This was a very impressive little restaurant, definitely a must try!
First time to this restaurant. Ordered take out, took a little longer than expected. Ordered the medium hot, needed more spice. Will try again.
The gumbo was bland and watery. They charge $2 extra if you want shrimp in it and $1.50 if you want extra okra. I got both but it didn't improve the dish. It was obvious which okra pieces were the "extra": they were undercooked, hard and inedible, obviously thrown into the gumbo without fully cooking them like the other soft pieces of okra that were already in the gumbo. And that's after it took them over 40 minutes to get my order completed from the time I ordered it for pickup. I also got their crawfish with the "trio" spices, which was ok. They charge $17/LB for crawfish in season. But it is not traditional Cajun crawfish. It is like all of the other crawfish in a bag joints that have sprung up in Southern California. If you are yearning for traditional Cajun crawfish boiled in something like Zatarain's spices like they do in the bayous, you will be disappointed. Plus, this place has no dirty rice nor red beans and rice. One would expect those sides in a real Louisiana style Cajun restaurant, but they are rarely offered outside of Louisiana. My quest for a true Cajun crawfish joint in So Cal continues...
The places was awesome. Great music (modern hits) TVs and micheladas are good. They have their own made sake as well (really good) and decent bar.
I love the food, ? ? ? ?, great sausage, fresh oysters , no wait.I would definitely come again.
We ended up here after visiting two other local cajun seafood places. Both were out of half their menu and we ended up at Cajun Crawfish. Super glad we did. The service was amazing! Carlos was so attentive and on point! The happy hour specials were stellar. The shrimp were huge and delicious! The crawfish were great for being frozen (they were out of season.) The seasoning was all on point. So glad we ended up here and will be back again!
My favorite cajun shrimp spot in OC. The food is great and the customer service is amazing. I recommend getting the extreme spicy cajun shrimp....or ask them about their secret sauce...tell them Martin sent you ?
Was craving some Cajun boil and glad we found this place! Ended up getting shrimp lobster combo with some Cajun fries and garlic bread. DELICIOUS! Nathan was an amazing server and super friendly ? All around great first time. Will be back.. with stretchy pants.
Their happy hour is a scam, very overpriced food, service no good.
