The heart and soul of 4th street. Every time I go I feel like I’m family. The food, the events… this place got my family thru Covid and that’s no lie. Order online or go there. It’s a special place. Make sure to get the cornbread!
Great michis, great pozole and a great vibe! Alta Baja is located in the heart of downtown Santa Ana and is home to one of the best rosters of Micheladas I have ever had. My favorite meal on the menu is their vegan pozole which is served the last Sunday of every month.
Alta Baja is open through construction through the 2022 year and beyond. This restaurant and market is authentic and delicious. I love to support this small business because I know that my every dollar is going to be supporting local, sustainable, and family run businesses. The owner, Delilah, and staff are incredibly caring and every time that I come here I leave feeling a bit happier. Please support this small business. Loved this place! Food was great, choice of unique beers were fun and tasty, service was fantastic, (she made great suggestions for food and wine) and she was so friendly and enthusiastic!Price was a little over $100, BUT that was for lunch with my Neice and me, 4 unique beers (don't judge... my Neice is over 21) a bottle of wine to take home and a few goodies from the shop.I just love places like this ? I'll be back ~ Don't let the construction in the area make you go elsewhere. Once inside, you won't notice at all.
Thank you, Alta Baja Market, for a wonderful holiday brunch experience this morning for our party of six. The food was superb, the service outstanding and the ambience welcoming. We'll be back before Christmas to shop for gifts from your eclectic selection of foods, books and wines.

I love this shop. Delilah, the owner, is super nice. She knows every product in her store like the back of her hand and will chat with you about any of them. Also, THE MICHELADAS!!!!! Come for the micheladas, stay for the grilled cheese with a micheladas. The menu is surprisingly large for a market like this, and the prices are very low for what you get. Highly recommend. Also, the beer selection is out of this world.
They have the most creative beers around, delicious and nutritious! I have yet to encounter a better breakfast chilaquiles. This little shop is a dream.
Delicious Michelada’s!! Loved the house made salsa! The pecan butter is amazing! The best Pozole I’ve ever had!! Yum!!!! Staff is amazing!!
