I was in San Ramon last week to run a college ID camp for San Ramon FC and as their preferred hotel I stayed here for five nights. In addition, we had several college coaches stay at this property. I wanted to take the time to say, that not only were the high expectations and standards of Marriott kept but the employees and service we experienced were exceptional. From the planning stages to the end of our stay everything was great. Thank you to the entire staff of the Courtyard by Marriott San Ramon.

I enjoyed my stay, large room and very clean. Easy to find. Never saw housekeeping but didn't need them. The room was loud, freeway very close so traffic all might. The lobby and front desk next to bar with no separation. Interesting to try and do business at the front desk in evening with the din of the large crowd in the bar. I mentioned it and staff said it didn't bother them but then could not hear each other as we discussed my question. They smiled and said, I get your point. I would stay here again but not ideal.

I’ve stayed at many Courtyards and this one is the worst. Feels like an older property, it is definitely not as nice as other Courtyards. I had a guy trying to get into MY room in the middle of the night, he was obviously confused and had the wrong room but it is freaky when something like this happens. What really put this hotel in the 2 rating instead of 3 is the breakfast at the Bistro. I ordered a yogurt parfait and fresh fruit, and their yogurt parfait did not come in the square dish with everything separated like the other Courtyards. It was pre-mixed, and everything was soggy and disgusting. The fruit in the fruit cup was sour and rancid. I ended up throwing everything away, it was completely inedible. Definitely won’t be returning to this Courtyard.

The hotel was pretty run down except for the lobby area. It was not super clean nor was the bed very comfortable. So there was no redeeming quality to draw me back. The cost was also very out of line for what you get.

All the staff with whom I interacted were friendly and helpful. There is a bistro onsite for breakfast, lunch, and dinner that had a good menu selection. There are also selections such as fresh fruit, fresh baked muffins, bagels, and multiple bevs incl a # of energy drinks. Was given a small water bottle upon check-in even though I'm not a high end Bonvoy member. Even numbered rooms face the highway, and the noise was very noticeable despite multiple windows to help drown it out. No issues with room. Good lobby area to hang out with co-workers. Everything in the San Fran area is expensive, so this would be considered a good "value" around $400.
