We ordered rib eye steak with sashimi and sunset blvd roll to go. The price is a little more expensive than the average japanese restaurant in the area probably because of the new location, newer building more expensive rent. The rib eye is smothered in teriyaki sauce, it was good but not the way i like my rib eye. I would not order this next time. The roll needs more improvement. The sashimi though, OMG. The sashimi is a totally different story. It was fresh and tasty and oh so yummy melt in your mouth goodness. One of the best i have ever had. I would keep coming back here just for the sashimi.

Opens at 3:00PM per their signs.Left at 3:10PM - Sakura was absolutely quiet, not a single person around, all doors locked. Also, reservation needed sign on all doors. But there are no available reservations online.

It says they close @9:00 (and I told them so) but when I got there they said they close @8:30 and offered take out only so don’t cut it close like I did. Also, the salmon sushi is generous ?

This is horrible place. I came with my newborn baby. Employee screamed at me and to put my infant baby with car seat to put on the regular chair and remove the stroller. How can I do that, if my baby fall , who is going to be responsible for? I refused to do that and place me to sit next to dirty trashes and plates. All I asked is can I sit on bigger table, they said will be busy. Obviously place was empty. And everybody got sick after we eat here. My daughter found hair in rice and we saw cockroach was running next to the dirty plates area. It was horrible. Definitely not recommending this place!!!

Just happen to be in the area and was in the mood for some sushi. Sushi and food was good and fresh. Staff and service was great. If your really hungry I highly recommend the Big Daddy roll. Biggest I've ever ate and was delicious too.

I'm not a big sushi fan but this was by far beyond my level of expectation. Let me tell you I loved it. We ordered the Drag roll, steak, a Special roll and ribeye steak and hot sake to wash all the deliciousness down. We accompanied it with white rice that was just perfect for the meal. The whole experience was worth the visit. I'll definitely venture more into the Japanese cuisine. If I'm ever back in town I'll swing by again. ?

Love the vibes and food here, amazing fresh and high quality of sushi being served here. Tony and Cathy are the kindest owners around, highly recommend!

Nicest people we've ever dined with.

most missed dine in place during the pandemic

Sakura has the freshest fish in San Ramon. The salmon is wild not farmed which means the fish have better lives and a natural diet. Been coming here for a few years. The portions are a nice size and the fee reflects the quality and the craftsmanship. I will keep coming back.
