We get here at 8pm(they close at 8:30pm) on a weekend and walk in to two people sitting on their hands with restaurant completely empty as usual and they say, “sorry you can’t dine in as the kitchen needs to be cleaned for next 30 mins and we need to leave at 8:30 when we close”. What a joke! No wonder the restaurant is almost out of business. Now this is a family run establishment. Can’t image how worse would the experience be if it wasn’t.Change your closing hours to 8pm if you need to leave by 8:30.
I go here more often than any other Chinese place in the Tr-Valley. Portions are relatively large, prices are relatively low, and the food is made pretty quickly. I've never eaten inside, but it looks pretty cramped (and I'm pretty sure there's no delivery), but if you want to get some good, cheap Chinese takeout, it's really hard to beat this place.
The last time I reviewed this restaurant was several years ago. My previous review was done when we were regulars at this restaurant and resided in San Ramon but that was almost 7 years ago. While visiting this area this week, we stopped here to pick up lunch (take out). We ordered from their special menu, which comes with your choice of three soups and three entrees. Additional entrees were $12/each. The prices have gone up, but the food is still very tasty. We almost always stop here when we are in the Tri-Valley area.
My go-to takeout thru pandemic, never drop their quality nor quantity, same delicious and plentiful tasty Chinese on the table night in and night out. Us in south San Ramon valley are really in luck. Thank you Peking Delight for being here!
This restaurant used to be very good. They have progressively gone down hill. The food doesn’t taste very fresh anymore, the portions have shrunk and the prices have increased and they seem to use a lot of sauce to cover up the flavor of the dish they are preparing. The chicken doesn’t taste very fresh at all and the prawns are soft and mushy which leads me to believe they are old! I mentioned something to the owner and rather than taking corrective criticism, he wanted to argue. Go argue with a fencepost! There are much better other Chinese restaurants in the area. I will not waste my time returning to a less than sub par restaurant!
First time eating here. Very disappointing. $30 for Salt n Pepper Fish and Spinach. Low quality.
Ordered General's chicken, which is supposed to a boneless fried chicken in spicy sauce. Got some flavorless chicken pieces from random parts of the chicken with some bone and cartilage in it and lots of rice and broccoli. Would not recommend. At least they gave a good portion of rice and two fortune cookies, that's why they get 2 stars instead of 1.
We enjoy the food there all the time, at least two or three times a month. Both take out and eat in. House special tofu is my favorite dish and king do pork is my wife favorite dish, Some times we bring fresh fish for the owner to cook for us for a small and very reasonable fee.
Ordered "Generals chicken."Menu said "hot and spicy."I got slimy, flavorless chicken and a whole pound of broccoli. This place is disgusting.
First time there. No….no…no flavor or onions added to my dish.I asked for the extra onions and I did not get what I wanted. Want be going back. And very expensive for not getting what I wanted!
