Highly recommended locations that we chose for lunch. There was a long line of locals purchasing both lunch and bakery items. I had a turkey sandwich on wonderful thick Italian bread. The staff was friendly and helpful. I would definitely return here.
This food was scrumcious! Can you dream of a Zagat rated establishment where you spend under $10.00? Well, here is reality. There are other locations in the Bay Area.
Made a quick stop in San Rafael for a coffee and a cake and my visit to "Arizmendi Bakery" delivered exceptionally well on both counts. This fresh and fun worker-owned neighbourhood 'cafe / bakery' had some amazing looking baked goods as well as a wider dining selection if you wanted something other than a quick cake to go. I had the Apple-Honey Bread Pudding (a special I believe baked for Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year) and an iced coffee. The bread pudding and coffee were both excellent and with bread pudding being my favourite I was glad to have visited this great bakery in time for the Rosh Hashanah celebrations! I recommend a visit.
The baked goods here are heavenly. We stopped for a pre-dinner treat? Bought a few pastries and shared them! My mouth is watering a month later thinking about them! A taste treat not to miss!!!! Honest!
