Nice food, good service. Ordered Calamari Fritti, Lamb Stew, Papparadelle all good. Dessert Lemon Coconut tart is great way to end the meal. Tiramisu need taste of rum, too sweet.

Good choice for Italian food, lots of delicious selections. Reservations strongly recommend and check out the menu in advance. Calamari was excellent, salads were generous. My TAGLIARINI ALLA SCAMPI was excellent. Others in the group were quite content, especially the dessert.

My girlfriend and I stopped in for lunch last week. I had a seafood risotto entree and clam chowder. My girlfriend had a salmon entree and minestrone soup. The food was delicious; the best food we had during our trip to California. Portions were generous and the prices were reasonable. Our server was great too. Chatted with friendly locals at the adjacent table. Pleasant outdoor seating. I would definitely go out of my way to dine here again.
Magnifico! Stupendous! Incredible! This place is impeccable. The quality, ingredients, the artistry and flavor of skilled craftsmen making a memorable meal. The only problem is everything is so amazing deciding is so difficult. If you live in San Rafael this is your new favorite restaurant. If you do not live in San Rafael it is worth the drive. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️??
Best Italian food in San Rafael. Wonderful place to dine inside or outside. Went there for lunch with friends. Everything we ordered was delicious. What surprised me the most was an appetizer leek tart. To die for. I loved the Tiramisu and cappuccino for dessert. Great ingredients, impressive food, and service. Memorable.
Had their “Insalata Di Barbabietole Con Rucola” salad, which was delicious. Probably the best salad I’ve ever had. Made with arugula, red and yellow beet chunks, gorgonzola cheese, walnuts, and vinaigrette. Check out the recipe on-line at the restaurant. Wow!
This place has superb food and service! What a gem in the heart of San Rafael. Based on all the reviews, I ordered the two kinds of ravioli and it did not disappoint. And my partner ordered spaghetti and meatballs (even tho it wasn’t on the menu, they still made it), and it was delicious as well. We were with a large group so we also ordered a bunch of small plates and salads, like the calamari, the bacon wrapped prawns over polenta and the insalata amaro. Everything was on point. The servers were so helpful and attentive. I look forward to coming back here whenever I’m back in the area.
We had a wonderful experience dining at Il Davide recently. First a very personable young man seated us at a fabulous two top table next to a window. Miguel was our server and he did a great job as our server. Miguel has friendly personality. And is knowledgeable about the menu, efficient and the service was well paced. My husband had the veal piccata and I had the petrale sole! Both of the dishes were well prepared and delicious. The “house” potatoes are out of this world yummy. The entrees were completed by a medley of fresh vegetables. My husband and I shared a generous house salad to start and a delicious tiramisu for dessert. The prices are very reasonable. We live in Ohio but visit family in Marin County a few times every year. We will be back!
