Staff here is so friendly and they are Italian. Food is authentic Calabrian food. We all enjoyed our experience.
Manuela and Francesco the husband and wife proprietors and operators are warm, charming , engaging , it is like dining with great friends. Great friends who are incredible cooks.
What a great find! If you want to experience Italy in San Mateo, this is the place. Francesca and Manuela are incredibly nice and welcoming. We went there as a family of four and we all loved our entrees. Go here!
Always love coming to Vespucci for authentic Italian food, lovely ambiance, and fabulous service. Last night was no different - we had the cioppino where the seafood was prepared perfectly with a delicious broth. We also enjoyed a Caesar salad and the limoncello sorbet for dessert. Restaurants are having a tough time getting consistent help, but even when short staffed, the team does everything they can to make your evening enjoyable.

It was a belated birthday dinner for me and I went with my mom and good friend. The artwork is exquisite, made modestly by the co-owner from what I gathered. Imwe ordered the burrata which was ok. I got the seafood risotto and I was good. My mom god the salmon rigatoni and my friend asked to be surprised. The ambiance sold me. I would go back again but this is truly a special place I would go to a few times a year not your every day diner. I have so much love and respect for the people who put this place together.

Owners are so friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Food is excellent quality and the fresh pastas are excellent. Really nice lightly fried and crispy calamari. The spread with the bread was really good and the bread is included. Most restaurants now charge for bread so really appreciate the good bread and unique spread. And great variety of Italian wines. Highly recommend.
