I called the San Mateo location and ordered burritos for my family and I. The gentleman who answered is very accommodating and thorough. Once I arrived for pick up, the same person greeted me with a smile.Im pretty sure this spot is going to be our new favorite taqueria in San Mateo. Gracias!
4 stars for the food, 2 stars for the service. The ceviche wasn't bad, the torta was the star of the show. I'd come back but when I know I've got time to burn.EDIT: I came back and had a terrible experience, bringing it down to 2 stars. The service was even worse than the first time and the food wasn't good this time - my pastor quesadilla was cold with overcooked meat and watered down sour cream. My husband ordered a Mexican omelet but got the veggie, and it was overcooked. Our side of guac was brown. And it all came to $40. We won't be back.
Delicious!! Maybe my favorite ever plate of camarones al mojo de ajo. Perfect cook, very moist shrimp and so flavorful. Chicken enchiladas generously filled, loved the sauce, my daughter cleaned her plate. We also watched the Warriors game there! Perfect night.
I’ve been here twice. First time I was caught off guard by how great the tacos and quesadilla birria were, as well as how friendly Gerardo was. Second time was to celebrate my mom’s birthday, where the whole family was similarly impressed. Felipe went out of his way to make sure we were accommodated and that her birthday was a special one. They’ve got a new regular customer, here.
This is the new restaurant next to Draegers grocery in the old China Little Sichuan location. Shared the Fajitas Pollo. Enough for 2 people. Came with corn tortillas. Just 2 slices of avocado, refried beans and rice and salad. Meal was ok. Good enough for the 17$ price. Bottomless free chips and salsa. Good homemade salsa, one spicy, one not. What gave it the fourth star was the complimentary Flan.. nice. Their specialty is tacos so need to try next time.
We had such a wonderful experience. Our chef was none other than the owner himself. He went above and beyond to make my mother in laws birthday special and memorable. Thank you! We will be coming back for more!

My Fiancé is from SoCal and since moving up here he’s always looking for that SoCal comfort food. Tacos El Flamingo is it! We were pleasantly surprised with how tasty and clean our tacos were. We were warmly greeted by the staff. Loved the music that was playing. We are most deff looking forward to coming back and enjoying the food, drinks and dance floor.
Super delicious authentic Mexican food!Just moved into the old restaurant on the corner of 4th and San Mateo Ave. Great vibe. Owners are super nice! And there will be karaoke and more!
Really good tacos. I think it’s one of the best tacos in the San Mateo area. My favorite is the carne asada tacos (super). Nice location??and nice music
