The best tasting pizza I ever had!! The aroma of the sauce when I drove home was great. My father had already eaten dinner, and I gave him a slice, and then he wanted a 2nd slice. It is very tasty, like no other pizza that I ever had before. It was difficult to find at first, because I did not see their signage, but now I know where it is located in San Mateo. Great job! This is my pizza place now.

The pizza used to be good. But this time it was the worst. Ordered carryout. The Italian sausage and broccolini. The pizza had hardly any sauce or tomatoes on it. Luckily we had our own cherry tomatoes to put on it.

Wow you have a super rude cashier. Today I ordered food and asked him the price he tells me 1.50 and when I get ready to pay he says 3.29. Then he makes a snarky comment saying "maybe you can't hear because of the mask" I'm then looking at the menu to see the price and he says " hurry up you gonna pay or what" . This guy shouldn't be around people and working in a customer service environment. Plus this guy has on 2 masks ! Lol

Pizza Detroit style definitely good eating comparable to Sheilds and Jet pizza in Detroit

I have been here about 5-7 times in the past 2 months with my best friend and it's the best. Very good toppings and I love the way it is cooked. The crust is made a bit thicker than most pizza places but it is still really good. I personally love the thicker "Chicago" crust type pizza so it's perfect for me. I love it! Totally recommend!!!

Decent pizza. Good option for a quick meal. Not overly expensive, but not cheap. Man working the counter was very friendly and even gave us a discount card, so 5 stars for the service!

Firstly, I'd like to acknowledge the fact that we're still going through a pandemic and running a business must pose incredible challenges. My intention with this review is to share constructive feedback with the intention of bringing issues to your attention since I do not feel comfortable sharing them when I'm at Slices about to eat.I had food from this place three times in total. The first was during the inauguration. Another during the weekend and today during the lunch time. The pizza has a nice taste. The dough is fluffy and has a crunchy base. At least in my experience there are never too many options in terms of pizzas. The main issue this particular Slices experiences is the poor service. I'm not here to bash anyone in particular however it feels like they are still operating the place like during their inauguration. My main concerns are regarding efficiency and hygiene. From an efficiency standpoint, it feels like you're either not asking the right questions at the right time to the customer (for example having my pizzas handed in a tray when I wanted a to go box) or having the employee with a pizza tray calling out pizza names (instead a customer name like every coffee shop does or a number like other businesses do) to get their warmed up pizzas. In situations like this, I see employees talking to each other trying to understand who was the customer. These problems have been solved by many other businesses and using a solution that works for you would make the experience a lot better. With regards to hygiene, which is a hot topic right now, I honestly don't understand why the trays used to heat up the pizza slices are so narrow that an employee has to touch my pizza with their thumb. Was this overlooked as a problem? If not, can't the employee use a glove? This seems pretty basic in a time where these issues are revisited and dealt with to adapt. Yet, this has been happening (or barely happening). When waiting for my turn, when I see an employee handling a tray to put in the oven and their thumb almost touches the pizza, I force myself to look away and erase that picture from my mind. Seriously, take a look into this.To finalize, I try to support local businesses as much as I can although I don't eat out frequently. My experience with Slices will keep me away from visiting again however I wish you success.Maybe I just got unlucky and dealt with too many coincidences, still, hope the feedback is helpful.

I really loved it. I had been looking forward to it for awhile. The slices had a somewhat thick crust. Crunchy somewhat like focaccia bread. It's really all about the sauce ? The sauce was fantastic!! We also tried the meatball sub. Wow! I'll be ordering that again. ?? Try this place. Better than any boring chain pizza ?

Walked in the door (which was propped wide open) around 8:40pm because Google said they were open until 9pm and we saw 3+ pizzas left. Was told they were closed. Would have happily paid for the pizza they still had leftover and presumably threw out.

I don’t like writing negative reviews during the pandemic but experienced terrible and rude service for mediocre and expensive pizza. I wanted to support a local shop instead of ordering delivery from one of the big chains, but I regretted it, unfortunately. I got an angry phone call from a worker for being “late” to pick up my pizza. I was not late, they just sent me an email saying to pick it up later than when I specified online. The person on the phone kept insisting I was late even when I said we were walking there as she yelled at me and would be there in literally two minutes.
