Sarku is like other fast food and good for the price. The seating at Hilldale is very good and easy to find seating.
I never really go to hillsdale often but recently I went and ordered sarku. I asked for double meat no veggies extra teriyaki sauce. I get to my food I’m guessing the lady doesn’t know how to write instructions to the cook cause I asked for extra sauce and he didn’t too busy on his phone to care and I didn’t even get DOUBLE MEAT LIKE I ASKED I mean I’ve been treated twice as better from sarku at Tanforan mall if anything get rid of this sarku and keep the one at Tanforan at least THEY LISTEN TO YOUR ORDER AND ACTUALLY KNOW HOW TO DO THEIR JOB.
The food is good. But the service experience of the cashier and chef this Sunday was very bad. Affect appetite ! ! !
Disappointing, to say the least. Ordered "Combo 2 Beef Teriyaki" dish and the "mixed vegetables" were over cooked and the "so called" Teriyaki beef is nowhere like a teriyaki beef should taste like. Very strong in black pepper and what they pass as teriyaki sauce/glaze is not even teriyaki style (doesn't seem to have the shoyu or soy sauce color nor the sweetness)....it was more like water mixed with corn starch. My wife's California roll is not even to a sushi shop standard...Safeway's version is much better. This will be, unfortunately, a place that will be not visited, including other locations.
If I could give this place a 0 stars, I would.Leveraging how cheap chickens are, they sell chicken teriyaki.Food is awful and tasteless. They really should taste their own food before starting a business.
Not sure how this has 5 star reviews.Food has no flavor and dry. Probably the worst Japanese food I've had across Bay Area and that is a hard thing to achieve.
I found the food here tasteless. Portion was generous though. 3.5 stars to be exact. They have daily specials and i ordered their thursday special, shrimp and chicken terriaky. Rice was really bland, terriaky saice too sweet. Shrimp was good.
Went here for nice lunch time. I had to repeat my order 3 times to cashier. It was unbelievable. The food was ok, the chicken was kind of dry and the noodles were too sweet and salty. I don't know if I would be coming back...
