I enjoyed this place so much that I came two nights in a row for dine in (traveling for business). I appreciated that it was not overly crowded, not too loud and looked like they wouldn't be upset to accommodate party of one. Looks like a good portion of their business online orders. The ravioli pasta was great, you can taste how fresh the basil and tomatoes are... Tasted like the basil was picked right off the plant and brought to the table. The ravioli was sufficient serving size to be filling and the ravioli filling was delicious. Unfortunately, I was too hungry to remember to take any photo.Jervi, the manager was outside smiling and told me all about the restaurant and about the bread made fresh daily and how they made the ravioli that morning. Clearly the establishment is run by people with a passion for good food in a casual environment.Tiramisu was also quite good and light texture, definitely well made, but the piece is definitely big enough for 2 people.
“Express” is in the name, but it takes them 30 minutes to make a caprese salad, meatballs, and pappardelle. Then another 30 minutes for them to realize they never called your name to pick up your food while it’s been sitting on the counter getting cold. The person who took my order was higher than a space shuttle and his manager was clueless he was doing such a bad job and making everyone wait. Better off going somewhere else. I would give them no stars if I could because terrible service ruins every meal.
Fantastic little place. I was not expecting to love the pasta as much as I did. Not over the top vibes and fair prices! Must try the carbonara!
Walked in hungry and curious and left with an warm belly filled with delicious creamy pasta! Carbonara was a hearty portion of hot rich Alfredo and bacon bits. Rustica was a rich tomato cream based unusually-shaped but satisfying pasta and well rounded flavors. Jervi was very friendly and accommodating. Plate of complimentary fresh in-house bread accompanied with oil and vinegar preceded the meal.
Hands-down best Italian I've had anywhere in the US. Better than most places in Italy!Second only to our home-cooking (we're not Italian, but have learned to cook it well!). Stumbled into this place during an errand trip downtown. So glad we did!Gervi was wonderful - so energetic - made us enjoy the cafe-isque ambiance.Fresh pastas. Fresh sauces made from scratchCaprese with real fresh burrata, unlike the cow mozzarella served in most places.Best of all.... cooked al-dente - Bellissimo!!Every pasta dish we had was delish - bolognese parpadelle, vongoleAnd all the best of Italian - the food - without the silly pretentiousness of fancy tables and wait staff. We're going to be regulars here I can tell!
Great place for fresh pasta dishes. Eat in for a great pasta dinner with some wine or take home pasta and sauce. We have loved every dish we have had so far. Don't forget to try the tiramisu or spumoni for dessert.
very good pasta. It is a pity that tiramisu was sold out. I would definitely come again
My boyfriend and I were headed to the Thai place next store which was too busy to seat us so we came here instead. I was hesitant because Italian food isn't my favorite but the man in a Hawaiian shirt, the humble "Grand Opening" sign, the amble seating, and islandy music sealed the deal. We had the mussels and the Pear rigatoni. This has been easily the best Italian food I have ever had. My boyfriend drank the sauce after we were done with the mussels.I was so happy to see the place full of customers the following month! Looks like they are doing well :)
New Italian restaurant. Great food. Big servings. A bit pricey for their menu items. Coming back for sure.
Very solid spot for pasta!!
