Looking for northern style authentic Chinese cuisine? This is it! This place is amazing! I have tried several dishes, all super good! I haven’t visited China for 3 years, but this place gives me a feeling of home.Yoooo.. I came back again and this place is so damn legit. 5 star all the way!
The worst place ever, we ordered Jingjiangrousi, some classic Peking dish. it suppose with the dried tofu together, but they told us they need extra charge for that. It is like you ordered French fries they charge for ketchup. then we paid, the dried tofu was really salty, it is just really bad and weird, the other dish is also super bad. Believe me, that is the last restaurant you wanna go in the Bay Area.
I've frequented here various times. I purchased a clay pot soup and an entrée of tomato fried with eggs. I've also tried their porridge, the seafood and fish combinations. The food had a very authentic taste and the soup included yam, bamboo and goji berries. Very satisfied.
This place is legit. It is the quintessential location to experience undecorated, authentic Chinese home-style cooking. You do not go to this place for atmosphere. You go here because you want a hearty meal prepared well.We had the walnut shrimp, Peking style pork belly, beef wrapped in pancakes (sort of like Peking duck but with cold beef), some type of chili beef, fluffy pancakes and the noodles with black bean sauce. Pretty much every one of them was tasteful in their own way.But what really makes Peking Alley shine is knowing that things are prepared fresh. Noodles here are handmade fresh and it definitely shows. I've never felt such texture from a Chinese restaurant before in my black bean sauce bowl. Also you see the owner making dumplings in the deep corner of the restaurant and you know this joint really is family-run.Again, presentation and atmosphere might feel it comes short. But this is not what this place is going for. Will absolutely return and frequent.
Had an amazing breakfast today. I ordered the banana granola pancake with a side order of fresh fruit. it was very good and very fresh. The coffee was delicious. The staff was friendly and service was good. There was a lot of local customers coming into the place so that tell me that they serve consisting good food.
Been here twice so far. Great authentic selection on the menu. All owners’ recommend dishes were great! Eggplant is one of the best I had in US; dumplings are very good.
Excellent experience! I highly recommend the Walnut Prawns... I've been ordering this for years and I'm never disappointed.
We happened to find this place while shopping nearby. The Hot-Sour soup the very best we have ever tasted! The Kung Pao Shrimp had an excellent flavor and the vegetables were properly crisp. The staff is very friendly and menu prices were quite reasonable. It's a bit of a drive for us to go there but we will return there often
Food is Good and HOT. It will burn your tongue!
