Mr. pickles is a staple of the San Mateo, they have a sandwich dedicated to all the local high schools. All the employees are incredibly nice. Definitely stop by, they have something for everyone.
Charge EXTRA FOR CHEESE $2.00, AND THEN BECAUSE IT WAS SWISS CHEESE ANOTHER $2.00. THEN The receipt says that the sandwich is supposed to be HEATED!!!! It was not HEATED it was cold!!! They delivered it in a plastic bag with the receipt tape on outside of plastic bag!!!
Had Door Dash. All was good. Delivered on time. Three sandwiches and all were correcr. Will use again.
I had been here previously, twice, and the sandwiches were never great. I decided to try it again today and it was wonderful. Had the tuna sandwich, toasted with pepper jack cheese on white bread, add ranch and jalapeños. The price for two sandwiches, two drinks, and two chips was $34 which seems outrageous to me.
Solid sandwich place although parking in the area is hard to find as waiting in line to order and then getting your order can take up to 20 minutes.
They got my sandwich wrong, ordered via hber eats. So got a sandwich that wasn't whatwanted and payed a premium price. Don't try calling. You'll just get a busy signal for hours
Food is always very tasty and the staff is pretty friendly. Store is very small though.
Stale bread and 3 out of the 6 sandwiches I ordered were plain with no condiments in them!?!?
really good sandwich shop but they forgot our tator salad. me andx my husbands fav shop the sandwiches are epic everyone. just forgot our tator salad the other day lol.
I've been a big fan of Mr pickles not just the San Mateo location but have enjoyed the San Bruno and Daly City locations as well as the one in San Francisco. Unfortunately this experience was not very good. Ordered my favorite which was the Tony Soprano. Have been ordering this for years and always asks for extra mortadella and no ham. Never once is anybody not done it right. The sandwich that was given to me was as if the person who made it had no clue what Mr pickles was or all about. I literally had one slice of mortadella in the sandwich and a few slices of salami. Horribly made sandwich. Somebody really messed up. We left and I got down the block I thought I should check the sandwich because it did feel kind of light. Had to order the same sandwich for my colleague when I handed it to him it was definitely heavier than mine. Pulled over checked it out and of course it was actually kind of scary that it came out the way it did. Fortunately we were less than a mile away so I turned around and went back. They remade the sandwich for me but almost reluctantly. And when they handed me the new sandwich no one apologize for the inconvenience and the fact that they really screwed up. I get it they were probably all embarrassed, but the reality is, it should have never happened. When I was 5 years old my dad put more meat in the sandwiches and when I got from them. It'll be a while before I return to that particular Mr pickles, thank God there's many others to go to!!
