Don't know the reason they can't serve hot food just sushi and sashimi. Just remember no food cooked by gas only electric stuff make it easy. Possible forget to pay gas bill. Ha ha ha. Good luck.
Was my go to Japanese restaurant but the last time we went about month ago, the lady Emma wasn’t there anymore and they had new people cooking so the food wasn’t the same. I think new owners? Prices were higher than before. So sad now have to find another Japanese restaurant close by.
The chicken kaarage curry was very tasty, and the sashimi meal was great with generous cuts of excellent quality fish. The staff was very friendly (only 3 tables late on Sunday) and will return when in the area. The prices were fair as well (curry about $15, meal about $26).
Looks like the good reviews are a few years old. Just had some very mediocre Japanese. Even a three star rated downtown Japanese restaurant is infinitely better than this one. I guess it was good pre pandemic but one thing is for one try is more than enough for us :(
The best kara tonkotsu Ramen in town, I believe
Ordered take-out. Waited 1:30 even though they said it would be ready in 30 minutes. Also the food didn’t match the order. Hard to communicate as well. I would just pick another nicer place.
Solid place. Not "traditional Japanese" but good for ramen and rice balls! The nigiris are solid, but not worth the $$$$. Spent around $200 for 2, so too expensive for my wallet ??
Great food, friendly prompt service at a reasonable price. Will definitely go back to try more food of the menu.
DO NOT COME HERE FOR SUSHI. Or maybe dine in if you can? Not sure it would make a difference. I would give them 0 stars if I could! I’ve dined-in here only a handful of times pre-COVID and their food was always passable. Since it’s the day before Thanksgiving a lot of nearby sushi restaurants are closed, so this time I ordered from them on the phone for pick up and realized only when I got there that they don’t make fresh sushi anymore. Everything is pre-packaged!! The food is literally in a refrigerated aisle in their new market section. Mushy sticky rice (to the point where you can’t discern individual grains) and soggy tempura, but they’re priced as if they still make their food fresh. I got 3 basic rolls and a specialty roll, altogether cost $60+. Terrible quality, huge rip off, NEVER going back!
Delicious but over-priced. Fourteen dollars for veggie tempura, and they fit in my hand (tiny amount).
