My partner and I have been frequenting this location lately and happy to say we receive excellent customer service from Sterling every ?? single ??time ??! Consistency doesn’t end there because the sandwiches always hit the spot — the whole crew deserves a lot of love for saving my partner’s life from being mauled by a hangry girlfriend.Thank you for the 49s, Sterling, you’re right; it’s now my go-to as well
They have got nice sandwiches with tons of Veggie options. I like the Tom Brady and the Egg Plant one.
With me being told order was "almost ready" and with me waiting at the counter, watched the worker take my order and put it up on a shelf rather than just handing it to me. Then once I got home, found they had given my wife completely the wrong sandwich, some vegetarian selection rather than the Turkey she wanted. Poor service all around.

I could talk about the service, or the various amazing sandwich options, or their proximity to San Mateo and walkable status. All of these things are great about Ike's. But I won't talk about that.I want to talk about feelings. That feeling of driving over the speed limit for the first time. Witnessing a baby seagull steal a piece of trash. Flipping the tongue of your shoe so it's flat against your foot after walking with it all folded wrong for a bit. These all pale in comparison to the emotional ride you're in for when the Matt Cain sandwich from Ike's slams into your tongue. The highs. The lows. Actually there aren't lows. It's all highs. Just higher and higher highs.Seriously. Get the Matt Cain.
What a menu. So many good choices, it took me 15 mins just to make up my mind. This Ike's really is one of my favorite sandwich shops. The sandwiches are on point, the staff is friendly, attentive, and accurate with your orde, the Groupon is a screaming deal and they even give you a apple-caramel lolly pop gratis!! They really know how to do it right at Ike's San Mateo and I am happy to frequent their establishment and will continue to do so for the foreseeable future.
Tasty and fast. The parking lot was a zoo.
The best Ike's location ever! The staff is friendly, helpful and they go beyond every time I have been there. While I have a closer Ike's location to my home, me and my wife always make the effort to go this location instead. Keep up the great work guys and thank you!
