Birthday celebration. Service was excellent
Our server was nice and responsive. We came right at 5p so the low key vibe was perfect for my date with my hubby.

Food and service were ok, however I felt the cleanliness of the table and cups require more attention. We ordered sâmores for dessert, the server took the dirty grill away and turned on the fire, didnât replace a new one for us to grill the marshmallows. I asked her for the replacement to cover the dirty oil hole of the stove and she told me that I could just grill the marshmallows like that. I said no, we need the grill to cover the oily hole in the stove because I have a kid here going to grill the marshmallows, I donât want to see the marshmallows drop into the oily hole in the stove without a clean cover. She then finally replaced a new grill for us after my request, but I thought it should have been automatic and still puzzled why did I have to even ask her to replace it in the first place.

The dinner was great as usual. We ordered sukiyaki Bibibob, Kim her, think sukiyaki beef and along with that was avacado salad and chicken karate. Superior food and it is a favorite place Togo!
Comparing to location near Vancouver, Bc (pretty much the San Francisco of Canada) Price-about the same Value-no unlimited refills on drinks, but other than that similar Noise-vey loud Service-no one automatically checks you, you have to press button Booking-easier to book than in Canada Burner-servers had to keep being called due to equipment issues
Gyu Kaku is worth trying out if youâre looking for something new. We did the happy hour meal for 2 since we got there when they opened. Worth it. Lots of food for a reasonable price IMO (we were stuffed when we left). Everything was tasty and thereâs different options to try. Thought we would smell like smoke at the end but their grills have fans that pull the smoke down and away. Instructions listed for anyone new to the dining experience and they have a buzzer if you need assistance or the bill. We didnât get a chance to use it because our server was great and attentive. All in all a we had an enjoyable dining experience.
