I love this place. They have amazingly fresh Japanese food, I've been there for dinner and lunch. It's a bit more expensive for all you can eat for dinner, is around $33 per person and if you want to add sashimi it's around $13 extra. For lunch is $23.95 for all you can eat per person and there is no sashimi. It's so worth, I saw some bad reviews and I'm glad I went with the good ones because the food is really amazing and the lady at the front was super nice at us every time. Just give it a try and if you're into some garlic taste order the baked Lion King roll I can't even describe how delicious it was.
Sushi is decent. Great options on the all you can eat menu. Friendly staff, good beer happy hour prices and the rolls come out fast.
First time at Daiki Sushi and it was a great experience. The ambiance is very welcoming and charming. Amazing food, quick service and all you can eat accommodations. Thanks to the hospitable staff! I look forward to coming back.
Just went there for a birthday lunch. We had a questionable experiance last time. (On New year's Eve) but today everything was wonderful. Very fresh, very relaxing, very fun. And a very good value. Looking forward to going there again in a few weeks.
At fist i was like " ok a sushi place" but now I say. "The sushi place" the food was really good and I always like a place more when they have good customer service. It makes the experience a whole lot better. To me this is a great place to bring the whole family. Great service and great food
Service is bad. Salmon is straight out of Costco’s fridge, its not for raw sushi. The owner denied it, but can tell from the fish not cut by knife but machine. Not recommend at all.
Great AYCE. I assume that I read some reviews here and I gave up on trying out this place a few months ago, but last night I went there with friends and I am glad I did. My experience was AMAZING. The sushi is soooooo fresh and yummy. Please order the Lion King. We were there in a group of 7 and everyone agrees that the food is so good and worth it. I forgot to take pictures because I was too busy eating ? they have a large menu of rolls and you can also order hand rolls. The staff is very friendly. We were there around 7:30pm and they were not busy. I would definitely recommend and can’t wait to go there again!
This place doesn't really have a great vibe, service was non-existent, and cleanliness was questionable.Soo much rice. Like imagine a golf ball size of flavorless rice underneath this monstrous, overwhelming slab of unevenly cut fish.
Sashimi quality was questionable. The texture was gritty and dry. One ordered entree was not included in order.
Honestly, I think this place is amazing! For only $22+/person for AYCE when we went, everything was perfect. Food that was meant to be warm and crispy was exactly that. Sushi was flavorful and service was fast. They were also super attentive and greeted us immediately when we entered. This is AMAZING value in San Mateo for the food offered. There was also a large variety of items available to order from including beer on tap. The other reviews on google do not do it justice! Obviously don't expect ridiculously high quality sushi and sashimi that you would've gotten from a fancy Japanese restaurant. This place is no frills, great quality and great options to choose from.
