Quirky fun Indian street fusion food.Love the variations to Indian classics.Surprisingly the fusion works well and tastes delicious.Love the atmosphere and the cool vibes.Funky decor and great service. What better way to enjoy a delicious treat.Thank you Curry up Now for innovative and good food as decent prices.

I ordered $20.40*2 thalis. Expected things as explained in the description. Didn’t get any of the side dishes given in the description. There were 4 different side dishes we didn’t receive in our order. When I call to the restaurant they said they can only give me $5 refund for my $45 order because they were out of the side dishes. $5 is nothing for not receiving side dishes. When I said that to the person on phone he said whatever and I don’t even know if I am going to get the refund. Just terrible terrible service and you will never get the food worth your money. Also apparently the death by tikka supposed to have both chicken tikka and paneer tikka in it and we got only paneer tikka.

I had been wanting to try this place for a long time, but was disappointed. I went for lunch at mid day with a friend. The first problem was that there was no waiter - the kid behind the counter was taking orders and then also serving as the waiter. Obviously this made the service on both ends terrible. There is a giant sign behind the register that says "free chai", but we were charged $3 for the chai which I let slide. There was some fine print on the bottom half of the free chai sign but I couldn't even read it - totally tacky.I went to pour myself some chai. The dispenser ran out after I mostly filled one cup. The kid behind the counter discussed with the cook - no offer to make more chai despite it being the middle of the day, but offered to let us take a different drink. I sent my friend inside to get a beverage and he chose a bottle of water. He sat down again and this is the point that the waiter came by with a giant bottle of water and glasses for the table. He also never delivered plates, utensils, or napkins, which I had to go get. Serves me right for tipping 20% up front. We had samosas, chicken tacos, and a friend chicken sandwich. Samosas were fine. Didn't like the tacos, too wet and had big chunks of chicken, not sliced - not good for tacos at all. The fried chicken sandwich was delicious and is why I gave 2 stars. I may return to get another one because it was so good, but I am definitely hesitant. I would never eat in again, or order chai

This is a very creative business, the way they created the fries being pretty much a samosa over on top of the potatoes with the peas, curry, carrots. Everything was screaming the hella vegan burrito ? dessert with the natural spring water. The dessert with Ghee, lentil base….. I’ll be back here. Definitely recommend if your in San Mateo.

Terrible food and service at San Mateo location (food section). Place was stinking, tables / floor were sticky, food / beverages were stale.Overall a terrible experience, quality has gone down drastically.Unfortunately used to be my favorite go to place at one point.

I have eaten at curry up now (Santa Clara) location before and absolutely loved the food. I was looking forward to going again, so today we ended up trying the San Mateo location and it was disappointing. We ordered paneer bowl, quesadilla, burrito and papdi chaat. All the food tasted a bit off, it tasted stale. For instance the rice was warm but dry and hard on edges. The patty in papdi chaat was out oily.. the food just seemed off, and the dining area was unclean. Overall the place just felt uninviting, this was on a weekday afternoon when there were may be 3 tables occupied.Anyways it certainly left me disappointed. May be it's just this location.

Service is pretty weird. We ordered four orders of desserts to go to take to a friend’s place. and for some reason the manager decided to combine the four orders and give in one large box like a family style? That was pretty surprising to see in covid times, as the whole point of four orders was that everyone can get their individual boxes. When asked the manager said that whenever we get order of four or more we always combine them in a one single box! Really? Please don’t! Or give us informed option to select not to..

I don’t usually post reviews, but very disappointed. Worst than a box frozen of Indian butter chicken. Hardly any chicken and mostly Luke warm sauce. The only positive was the presentation. Very polite service.Note: Management reached out and acknowledged the situation. Great customer service.

Service is quick and the staff is friendly. They are quick to resolve any issues when trying to order online.

Excellent take on Indian fusion cuisine. Dining venue and atmosphere was hip and welcoming with plenty of seating and accomodations- long tables, more intimate 4 seating arrangements, and outdoor dining as well. There was plenty of COVID conscious measures to keep patrons safe and healthy. Hand sanitization dispensers were available throuhout the restaurant. The food itself was excellent. Menu has a large variety of options to choose from for all types of foodies, with plenty of vegetarian options and other health conscious options. The dishes we had were very flavourful and had a variety of spices, great for sampling different things to please the palate. Their mango lassi was creamy and fruity as expected; good stuff! Their fusion meal we had was plentiful in portions and was exceptionally tasty. Experienced a range of flavours I hadn't before which was nice. If you're looking to explore more tastes and reacquaint yourself with those you're familiar with, this place has what you need. Staff were wonderful and very patient as we all order. Give this place a try if you're in downtown Redwood City/San Mateo!
