Mid-COVID review: Phenomenal! We came by on a whim after trying to go to Blue Whale and seeing it was closed. Stopped in, no one was there, learned they had just re-opened and were allowing for outside seating. Quite (pleasantly) surprised by how well-made their chicken sandwich and house burger were. Great tasting, great texture, delicious. And great service by Alyssa, who was holding down the front of the house by herself. We will be coming back for sure!
I love the Bel Campo burger. The yucca fries are really good too. We got the pulled pork once but it was too spicy for us. It's kind of expensive but I love that it's all sustainably raised.
Best quality meat I have found in the bay area. Butchers are all super nice and a wealth of information. Please open a shop in the east bay so I don't have to drive 30 min to see you!
Doesn’t have a meat counter or place to purchase farm goods like other locations in NorCal, and the broth was significantly overpriced. But I can’t give a company doing this much good in the food space anything less than 5 stars.Broth should be $5 for a single cup meal add on, $8 for purchase without meal, $12 for unlimited during visit. A quart of good grass fed broth is going for about $6.99 and most people won’t want more than 2 or 3 mugs full during their stay. If you need to price beef and poultry separately than do it. Customer frequency and brand loyalty suffers from over valued pricing.
