solid 4 stars. we've been feeling let down by our all time 40 year La Cumbre so tried Amigos based on the good [and bad] reviews here. The service was not an issue and my order was taken right away by a young man. I guess I missed the cranky old lady. Everything is cooked to order on the large grill so it is not pre made and scooped up like many others and it took awhile to prepare. Lengua and Pastor burritos were very good and large size. very happy and this will be our new go to for burritos. wish the salsa bar was open, i miss that
Today in rainy Sunday I ordered steak grilled quesadilla plus shrimp taco and fish taco, everything is delicious, especially my favourite tomatoes salsa ? many ears I’m joining Mexican food from you guys, I don’t know why I never leave ⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️, probably because today is awful weather outside the door ,⛈ and does food make my day , mucho gracias amigos!!?

This place is amazing! I have been coming here for the past year, and from what I've tried, I'd take it over the places in the Mission. A wide menu selection offering tons of meat options that you can't find at every Mexican restaurant (pastor, lengua, chili verde pork) and the carnitas are the best I've had anywhere. . The tacos and burritos are great.The nachos are really solid, and the enchiladas are good too–it's hard to find a fast Mexican option that makes a good enchilada. I don't know how this place doesn't have 5 stars!
Only gave 5 stars because i can't give 10 this is the best Mexican food. We moved to Sacramento area and no place has food this good we stop here every time we return to the bay area.

This is my first time here. I have been to many different Mexican food all over san mateo. I have to say, they have the best carnitas. The meet has so much favor and the salsa was fresh. If you like carnitas this is the spot and the price is very reasonable.
