Had a reservation at 7 pm and all people showed up on time. They refused to seat us and let in two parties who got here after us. When told we were next in line, we waited over an hour to sit. When we got there, the plates were still dirty. The food was however amazing and once we sat down, the service was decent. I’d recommend the restaurant but not this location for sure
Don't bother making a reservation because you'll have to wait either way. Then you'll have to wait a hour for a chef to show up and another 30 for your food to be done. By that point you'll be annoyed and not enjoy the tricks the chefs do. The food is subpar and not worth the money or the wait. All workers were nice so that's a plus. I'd recommend finding somewhere else to go.
It was great experience as usual great show from that chef, great service from the waiters, and good welcoming by the hostess. I would choose this place over benihana's any time it's really affordable more of a family environment vibe. Keep up the great work.
Arnel was fantastic. Really engaging with the guests. Had the whole table roaring with laughter. Can tell he has a natural talent and love for the job.
Come here for my Bday every year. Usually get the seafood combo, a roll, and a nice big Sapporo. Staff is always nice and the service is always fantastic.
Great experience and deliciously prepared meals.
My boyfriend and I love the food at Shogun. It’s incredibly healthy and fresh and the show is mostly delightful, depending on who your cook is, because there are different levels of talent and we don’t all share the same sense of humor lol. Regardless, this is a solid restaurant that I would give 4-5 stars and recommend to anyone.I do have some constructive criticism regarding my most recent visit:On my most recent visit, a Monday night, I was incredibly disappointed and taken aback by an extremely long wait time, followed by an even longer wait time once we were seated and waiting for the chef. The salad and miso soup helped stave off our hunger done while we waited; but unfortunately, our appetizer of choice, (cucumber bites), was not available. Unfortunately the show was just not as enjoyable while hangry. I just wanted my food. On top of it all, I was uncomfortably cold the whole time. When the check arrived, I noticed that I was charged $10 for an $8 glass of wine per their menu, leaving me to wonder if there were other items that we were charged more for without our consent. Since there was only an $8 and $9 glass of Merlot on the menu, the $10 charge was easy to spot. Not wanting to make a big deal over $2, I said nothing, although I walked away feeling slighted. Since the menu is online, you would think that it would be easy to update their pricing.
Food was good, but cleanliness in restaurant was a concern. Food still on table & chairs where we were seated...We made a reservation for 6pm, we were sat 30 minutes after our reservation & even then we were asked to split up and share tables with strangers...
Great food + experience, amazing chef as well. Great dinning experience, but expect everything to be 25+ dollars at the minimum. But trust me, for the experience, it is totally worth it. But higher end than typical tepenyaki cooking. Pepe (the chef) was great, went along with jokes, and altogether very kind, and would recommend for special events.
Our Chef, Arvin, was incredible. Everything on my Shogun special was cooked to perfection. The prices are much better than other restaurants this style. My biggest complaint was that the pink sauce was a little too mayonnaise-y. Besides that, I would say Shogun is all around better than that popular chain that everyone is familiar with.
