We came in on Sunday for breakfast. It was busy as usual. Come in early to put your name in. Our Server Eddy(hope I spelled it right). He was friendly, checked on us often to refill my coffee and answered all of our questions about some of our breakfast choices. I give Eddy 5 Stars for great service! We had the fresh Cinnamon roll(sweet, gooey icing made it that more delicious)Supreme French Toast(very sweet and tasty) and the Vegetable & Cheddar Omelet(all veggies were fresh and delicious) We will order again the next time we are in the area!

Great family restaurant with wonderful, friendly staff and delicious home made style food! They also have baristas on staff and a great selection of To-go items. The atmosphere is warm and friendly, and the dishes are awesome. Dine here for your favorites including eggs Benedict, grits, omelets, French toast and pancakes. Also don't forget to bring home a delicious pie!
Took my family. The wait was super long. The food wasn't as good as I'd hoped considering the wait time. I did really like the pancakes and my daughter said her cappuccino was amazing. My grandson's cinnamon roll was good. I was pretty bummed that my daughter didn't see an Omelette she liked so she created her own and it ended up costing me $29 bucks. All in all the food was decent. Customer service was great. I'd go back for the pancakes.
The chicken fried steak was delicious. A very hearty breakfast served with home fries. I love the strawberry jelly on sourdough. Great service. Get there early they are always busy.
Very friendly place with a extensive breakfast menu. I got their cinnamon roll to go and I had it the next day at home and it was phenomenal. Nice selection of coffees. I was charged twice for my table reservation so I still need to call back to get that straightened out.
This was my first visit to Mama Kats and it was great. Can’t believe I haven’t been here sooner! I had the breakfast burrito… the quality was unlike any that I’ve had before, it was perfect. every ingredient was proportioned just right… it made my morning! The service was excellent too, very friendly people! I will be coming back to try some of their pie, it looked so good…
Mama Kat's provides excellent customer service along with a warm atmosphere (everyone who works here is super nice). For breakfast, we split the ham and avocado eggs benedict which comes with a side of hash browns for $17. The ham was superb, eating all of it felt like just the right amount. On Monday they have a deal where you can get a slice of pie for $2. We tried the chocolate peanut butter pie, and it was to die for!
Food is good, but SUPER expensive and they charge you for reservations! San Marcos needs another establishment to put Mama Kat in her place. Now they’re just good at sucking money from your wallet.
We ordered a couple of pies for Thanksgiving and were told we could pick them up the day prior. When we arrived, we found they cancelled our order. We asked if we could pick up other pies and they said they had none, but there were about 100 or more on the shelves. We asked to talk to the Manager. He came right out, cussed us out while he had a superior smirk on his face and claimed we had cancelled the order. He did a 180 and waltzed off. Well, could not find a place selling cream pies on short notice and had Thanksgiving without dessert. Won't frequent that place again!
Cannot remember if I’ve ever been here. Assuming it’s my first time, I highly recommend. Great food and very fast.
