The worst ribs tonight. Usually good but burnt and dried out tonight. couldn't eat half of them.
Honestly should’ve read the comments before coming in!!!The San Marcos location was by far the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE we’ve EVER experienced! We decided to take our group here on a Sunday afternoon after my sons football game. At first we were over looking the menu (only us inside) & seen kids eat free on Sundays. We thought cool. We even asked the cashier & she acknowledged the special. My husband had asked her if the bigger meals were a good sized portion & he & his best friend are carnivores & she replied yes they were big. We had to repeat everyone’s order MULTIPLE times to the cashier as she & the other 2 employees looked stoned out of their minds!!!! So we FINALLY get our order correct. As the food is coming out I see my order was wrong, I patiently wait & explain to the young lady who brought out our food that my order was wrong. Again having to repeat myself multiple times on what the problem was! My husband & his best friends plate were small portions (possibly a slice of meat bigger than my 4 year olds plate). I check the receipt to see that we’ve been charged for BOTH kids meals. I bring the receipt up to the cashier & she tells me “we didn’t tell her about how the kids meals need to be free!” When we indeed asked her about it & told her. So she then tells me she needs to wait for another young lady (whom walked in just a few minutes prior reeking of marijuana) to help me out. She comes & the cashier explains to her the situation, she then looks at the receipt & struggles to figure out what to do on the screen. She pushes & couple of buttons & says “ok I refunded it & it should be back on your card by today or tomorrow” I asked if she was sure & she said yes. She didn’t want to give me my receipt back but I asked again for it & she gave it back to me with attitude! I know for sure we wouldn’t be refunded that day. Maybe 5-7 days if that. I checked my account & still nothing! Mind you we went on the 6th of the month! I’ve called this location MULTIPLE times & all it does it ring & go to voicemail. I’m so furious. This location really needs better customer service. If you’re going to do drugs at least know how to focus & concentrate on your job! So please be cautious of this place & what you’re ordering!
Restautant says open at 11, its 11.10 and staff its taking there time to open, having at party wirh the music all the way up they see me at the door and they dont care, I would never go back there, until I knock on the door and literally ask if they were going to open or not they decided to open the door, what a shame food its good but employees make me dont want to ever go back, I left and this lady in picture says "bye sweetie" making fun of it, so unprofessional
Excellent meats here...especially loved the turkey and pork. The baked potato casserole was a wonderful side as well.
One star for flavor at the San Marcos location they need to brush up on their people skills. I went for barbecue in the fall of 2021 was informed that rewards are not honored nor are rewards accumulated on purchases and my big yellow cup for free refills is not honored which they used to. I purchased that Big yellow cup at a Corona Dickey's back in 2012 refills were always free there also. When I asked should I call headquarters, affirmation was given. When I called corporate an apology was given along with rewards for my purchases on that San Marcos visit. An explanation also was relayed to me that all Dickeys franchises are to follow the same rules procedures and regulations to be consistent,but unfortunately can't be enforced. I will not be going back to the San Marcos site. My last comment is the big yellow cup has to be purchased there, but it's smaller, plain looking& no longer yellow, but clear& refill are $1.50.
The girl at the counter was very nonchalant, I had to keep getting her attention when we were the only ones inside. The cook looked like he was on drugs I tried to ask him questions and he ignored me. The food was decent. I’d never go to this location again. Employees make or break a buiness. These guys need proper etiquette and people skills training! Would love to help them :)
Tried Dicky’s for the first time. Counter service was rude. Pull pork was chunked pork I had to pull my self, unluckily there was a big bite of cartilage. Overall It was pricey and disappointing. I picked wrong today.
Was in town for work and only had a few minutes to grab a quick lunch. It was fast and very good. Really enjoyed the smoked chicken and brisket. Hard to find good barbecue when I'm on the road in California.
Dickeys has top tier bbq i was wary since i though the best bbq was only in Texas but dickeys has pleasantly proved me wrong! Keep up the good work guys! all their meat is always fall off the bone tender. My personal favorite is the giant baker delicious and fills you up!
They have deep-fried breaded okra but they forgot to season this last batch, still pretty yummy though.
