It took a while to be approached and get our order in. We sat in the bar thinking that we would get better service more quickly. He was very busy because he had to keep making drinks for all waitstaff while serving food as well. We were all on a tight schedule. The atmosphere was more laid back in the bar. Once we got our order in, things progressed appropriately. The albondigas soup was hearty and delicious.
“Work to live or live to work?” It’s an important question, is it not? No matter which side of the isle you inhabit on this issue, I think that we can all agree that while working it’s always best to work with good people. People that you can trust. A group of professionals who make you better and stretch you (especially if you’re in a leadership position). I mean, how can you truly lead without listening to the diverse viewpoints and recommendations of others? Well if you’re blessed to work alongside terrific colleagues like I am, and you have an opportunity to grab a meal together, then I’d suggest that you consider breaking bread with them at Cocina Del Charro. The food is good, the service is attentive, and they offer multiple dining room options at the San Marcos location to accommodate large or small gatherings that are conducive to work or private discussions. An added bonus is the support of a local business that is anchored within your community. ?Our Review Team did have one suggestion. @cocinadelcharro how about adding a Mariachi band to perform on that beautiful balcony of yours? And that’s…Henry’s Take. @henrystake
If you love Mexican food, you'll love Cocina Del Charro! Get the Cancun Burrito, which is filled with goodies including Shrimp! It has a little kick to it, but not overly spicy. It's also a little pricey, but we'll worth it! Yum!
I like a good Mexican restaurant where you sit down, and the chips & salsa immediately appear on the table. I ordered some very tasty enchiladas. My son really enjoyed his burrito, even though he could only finish half of the monstrosity; he's looking forward to leftovers for lunch tomorrow.I will definitely pass this way again next time I come to town.
It was very nice. The food was good but could have used some more spice. Service was great and the mixed drinks were made very well. A little pricey for lunch though. But still a good experience.
the food was excellent and the service as well.
1st time at this Mexican restaurant - we had the fajitas- beef, chicken, & shrimp. The fajitas were excellent. Their chips and salsa were just ok.
We sat outside to enjoy some sun, our waiter carlos was awesome, always checked up on us if we needed anything like adult beverages, napkins. Food was delicious. Really enjoyed the live music while waiting on my omelet to be made.
We went for lunch and sat on the side back patio. Nice shade. Our server was good but she was slammed during lunch on Saturday. It did take a bit to get drinks and refills and order came out wrong which wasn't her fault. I recommend if you want medium steak ask for medium rare because it's almost always over cooked. The food is seasoned well and looks delish plated. This is only of the only places I know which makes ground beef enchiladas. I grew up eating them that way and is always a fav of mine!Chips and Salsa is always tasty!
excellent service, outstanding Mexican food, and the live harp and guitar music, beautiful! I play the harp!
