I love the breakfast options here and frequently order take-home breakfast since I live so close. Insider tip: NEVER leave this place trusting that they got your order right. I swear to you that every time I have brought food home without checking, something is amiss. The lastest was an eggs Benedict where the EGGS and HOLLENDAISE sauce were missing from the order. I also asked for salsa and was given hot sauce, like for fried chicken. It is beyond frustrating because this isn’t a one-off event, it is their standard and the back and forth to the restaurant all the time is exhausting. At this point, I’m done going here for take-home breakfast and will instead research another spot.
We order our breakfast. My sis and my mom, but the ice tea taste like water. We tell the waiter but se say she can do nothing about. We all have ice tea.. our breakfast, was ok but the waiter she only shows when we order and when i tell her about ice tea..( she doesn't do nothing about) we ask for lemon she dont bring it, we have to ask for our ticket at the from .. This morning my family and I made the trip down to San Marcos from Los Angeles, two hours prior to our arrival I made a call to the restaurant and asked of we could be placed on the wait list ahead of time or reserve seating for the time we would arrive which would be 11am I was told they don't normally make those accommodations and only add parties to wait lists until they're all there, but that they would make an exception since we were a party of 13 and were making the long drive as we were on a tight schedule and had to be somewhere else by 1pm. As we arrived at 11am on the dot I was told they would seat us shortly that they just had to arrange the tables so we waited for 30 minutes and saw other large parties were getting seated before us so we proceeded to ask if we would be seated soon they gave us an excuse that a large party was taking a long time to leave when we clearly saw them get seated about 20 minutes after we arrived. We proceeded to wait another 15 minutes and even informed the hostess that we would be open to sit at separate tables if that would get us seated faster, by 11:55 we had children in our party crying that they were hungry and seeing we were running short on time we decided to leave. I understand weekends are extremely busy and hard to get people seated, but I think customers always deserve honesty they should've been honest with us from the moment we arrived and let us know it was extremely busy and that they would not be able to sit us right away instead of having us waste our time.
Delicious food, quick, friendly service. Excellent diner, all around.
Rudely greeted when seated at the bar waiting for the server another couple sat down next to me and was offered drinks by the rude employee. Eventually greated by the waitress and ordered, the couple next to me got their drinks (coffee and water) long before I did. Further drink service was non existent. Food was nothing special.
I love coming here. The staff are always really nice and the food is delicious. The Belgian waffles are one of my favorites but pretty much everything I’ve tried here has always been really good.
My kids got the Belgian waffle with banana, strawberry, and whipped cream. They tasted really good. I got the Greek omelet, it was ok except for the feta cheese, it didn't fit well in the mix. The coffee was not as hot as I like it to be.
The spicy vegan bowl was good. And I even had some meat eating onlookers ask about my meal, and be surprised it was vegan. Yes, it is completely meat free.

Coffee us always great. Mimosas we're tasty. I ordered the steak and eggs, and both were a little overcooked but the staff was very accommodating and re-cooked my breakfast. Everyone was super attentive! And we went at a perfect time, early enough to beat the Sunday traffic so we were seated immediately.
