The Habit is great! Love the burgers. Have never had a bad experience with the customer service either… with one exception. I took my fiancé to this location about a month ago. Now, I don’t know if they just didn’t want people squatting at tables or if there’s an employee who enjoys inflicting mild forms of torture on people but the song “The Middle” by Maren Morris and Zedd was playing on repeat. After the fourth time the song started over, we took our burgers to go and have since been joking about this cruelty. Only docking one star for giving me this genius idea in case I am ever alone with my enemies.
Great food I will say it reminds me a little bit of Burger King taste wise.
I have walked into many habit restaurants but this one was a disappointment all tables were dirty and with this pandemic it's important for cleaning plus cashier talk really fast like he did not want anyone in there maybe that's the reason why in such a busy place there was only one person inside and all other restaurants were full they all walked away to see how dirty this place was inside
Customer service from the cashier, was rude. As if he didn't want to deal with customers. I usually get the family pack and it's more than enough to feed everyone. But this time portions were small as if someone took a few of the onion rings and fries ?
Turned into a glorified fast food chain like carls or Wendy’s, overpriced and poorly made consistently. With all the other restaurants in SLO just pay and extra dollar or two to get real quality food

Habit didn't suck!! They got my order right too. (Their salted caramel shake is pretty yummy...my son ordered that?)More than I can say for Domino's...and Domino's cannot default blame employee turn over. The same person has delivered the food for several months-I've finally wised up. I don't call t h e m for food delivery any more. They need to retrain their staff, if they give a sh__.The Habit I'd definitely recommend. The young staff aren't rude either! ?
I hate to be that person, but I have to reiterate what someone else said about customer service. The person serving me didn't smile, didn't make eye contact and when I asked for a cone (which is on the menu) they said "We don't have cones sir." I stared at the sleeve of cones just behind him and asked for a milkshake without whipped cream.He gave me milkshake with whipped cream anyway. I can't speak to the burgers here since I'm a local and I tend to eat at other places, but the one time I had one I thought it was fine. I do hope they work on the customer service.
They need to work in costume service, have employees know the menu to describe it to the customer and make the customer aware of extra changers. If not, they won’t tell you, been the 3 times and today was the last… they messed up my orders in the last 3 times. This time, I ordered a chardburger from the kids menu plain with cheese, and they didn’t charge me for the cheese before, Nether I saw it in my receipt. When the cashier made me aware it was going to be extra for the cheese I told her, “oh they never made me aware or charged me for the cheese in the kids menu, but ok “ then the manager approach the cashier and told me” well they should have told you before! With a body lenguaje of I don’t care lady. So be aware of the extra charges when you order and check your order before leaving.
Burgers patty’s are consistently on the burnt side and also taste burnt but sometimes gets it right. Besides that it’s a great spot
