We ordered tacos de asada, pozole, and chicken sopes. The tacos were good, but everything else had no flavor.
To me the whole town is at Pinnacle of high expense. So an good review is not full and is lacking. This place was seemingly run by a family. Cost for food was on high side. Seating was very limited. In this town it seems, common. This is my limited experience with my few visits to this town. Breakfast burrito was okay.
Pros: the meat here is really good. The agua frescas are delicious. The salsa bar is spicy.Cons: sadly, all other food is very bland. Not enough salt/spices/flavor in the rice, beans, eggs, broths, etc. The homemade tortillas were a little too thick, too. Food is pricey for being so bland...Past reviews seem to be pretty positive, so possibly a change of staff (chefs, specifically) led to the food being super bland.

Pretty decent lunch special the day I ate there. Will need to try other things before I am willing to get a higher rating
My favorite place in SLO for al pastor tacos--MUST GO ON TUESDAY!They prepare a trompo & flame broil it with that piña. With their tortillas being made fresh, you can't beat the Tuesday deal: 4 tacos for $6. Make sure to get onion, cilantro, lime, and salsa!
I'm not really sure why these are rated the best tacos in San Luis Obispo. These are some of the worst tacos I've ever had.First of all the cashier was rushing us and he seemed like he was in super big hurry, even though there was nobody else in the place, which should have been a red flag.$3 a pop for some very dry meat and fatty huge chunks, no salsa, nothing else. You couldn't even get anything from the salsa bar because there was no plastic cups. The salsa looks like it was tasty but we wouldn't know because we didn't get to partake. We were not offered any salsa cups at any point. It goes without saying that if you're serving tacos that have nothing on them but meat and a tortilla, you need to offer salsa or some sort of cups to put the salsa in.The tortillas were good.We ordered a bean and cheese burrito and we basically got a bunch of cold unmelted cheese with a little bit of beans. The beans were pretty good, the little bit we had.It really seemed like they gave us the worst meat they, had because it looks nothing like the other Amazing photos posted in reveiws. Not impressed. We were really excited to participate in local culture and try some authentic San Luis Obispo food. Too bad.Glad to go home to eat some good tacos.
The tortillas are fresh! The pastor is really great. Definitely worth a stop!
Best horchata in town, delicious salsa and pastor. I'll definitely be back!
Asked for Plain asada tacos lettuce cheese only. Said it in Spanish to make sure. Waited 10 mins. Drove away to then check box. Got lettuce onion cilantro no cheese
