Well I hope you weren't hoping for tacos here. Instead you will get 2 tortillas with a little cheese then a absurd amount of salad on top. It is not tacos, it's a weird salad. Not impressed with the meat either, although good portion, Chicken tasted like boiled chicken shredded and asada lacked any real flavor. The Baja taco (hahaha) was the salad with 4 pieces of fried cod placed on top. No flavor at all. I added lemon and salt to try helping it. Ended up leaving with large amounts of salad left over. This temple will have you praying for deliverance!

We've been in SLO 4 days and visit taco temple daily. Friendly and efficient staff. The freshest seafood and delicious Mexican inspired entrees for a reasonable price. Yummy desserts. Cool retro surfer decor. Very clean and popular place.

We've been to Taco Temple in Morro Bay and just had the opportunity to go to this one in SLO right off of 101. I got a big burrito (veganized) and we also shared a big slice of carrot cake. Everything was delicious and super filling and it was nice sitting outside with cool decorations inside and out. It's all good.

great service and good food!

Very nice selection of fresh fish and seafood tacos. Served open face (salad syle). Excellent salsas. Sweet, mild to very spicy. Good nachos. They have traditional food too. Old coffee shop building. Nice service. Clean restrooms. Second location..

I’ve tried this place several times and it’s always the same. Got the street tacos and the meat was dry and they try to save it with a chipotle sauce. The chips are basic and same for the salsa. The service is good but you would think a Mexican place in California would be able to pull off better Mexican food.

Huge portions! Fresh shrimp and chunky guacamole. We had street tacos (3) that came with black beans, guacamole and Mexican rice. All tasty and fresh. Service fast & friendly and RV parking was easy.

Everything would be it, but if you’re into taquitos, they have one w potatoes and chorizo that’s killer!! Get it - And their Carrot cake is beyond delicious.

Not a bad little spot for some tacos! I've passed this place on the 101 probably a thousand times and hadn't been in till recently. I do wish the menu had some more Mexican style food, I guess I had the wrong idea with the name Taco Temple...?‍♂️...the tacos were pretty good though! My son had the nachos and he liked them too. I don't recall if they had a military discount or not, but that's always a plus in my book.

Excellent food! Great taste, seasoning is perfect. We will go back on other trips to that part of the coast. I'd love to find out where they get their onions. I'm not that big of an onion fan, but these were great tasting. Sweet was perfect with all accompanying seasoning our street tacos.
