Great Service but prices are very high for the poor quality food served. $15 for a $5-8 burrito is a little much. Taco salad for $15 would be worth it if the quality was much better. It wasn't horrible just very underwhelming. To their credit the place looks nice and it is clean. I don't think that I will return.
I had a great chile verde burrito for lunch. Quick, tasty and reasonably priced.
Watch my to go order sit on the back counter for 10 minutes while she took orders, nachos are know mush and unedible. Additionally you advertise nachos with nacho cheese on your website(the only reason I went here), I got nachos with a pathetic amount of half-melted half-cold cheese. No need for me to go back as Meat was also mediocre.
Over the years tons of restaurants have come and gone in San Luis Obispo. That's par for the course in a tourist/college town. But Taco Roco is a long time Mexican staple in town. They have excellent options in a wide variety. And you'll find everything at a great price. They have a couple of locations in the area. This particular one has converted a few parking spaces into a park lit where you can eat outdoors and they have indoor dining as well and a small patio. They're tacos are fantastic but this time I got the enchiladas and they were great as well. Highly recommend if you're ever looking for Mexican food in town.

Came here because of the good reviews, and I know the valley is heavily frowned upon over here on the coast but gas station Mexican food over there is better than this place, the salsa is probably the worst salsa I’ve ever had, it didn’t compliment the breakfast burrito at all and it all didn’t come together what so ever, I tried putting Chilula on it next and it made no difference either, the horchata is a fountain drink horchata, idk I guess I was just expecting more. Service was very friendly tho, anybody can appreciate that
My favorite Mexican restaurant in town. Good prices and great service.They have never messed up order.
