We love sending our clients to the SLO Brew Lofts for their wedding weekend. Spacious, well-appointed, modern decor, fun + inviting. What more do you need for your wedding party?!?
For the SLO Wedding Planners holiday party, I had the opportunity to work with SLO Brew Lofts for our annual fundraiser. It was so convenient to our guests since we hosted the after party event directly below it at The Carissa and in downtown SLO. The rooms were nice and roomy with modern & fun decor. We will definitely be referring all of our clients to reserve for their accommodations when hosting an event!
Cool spaces but as others have stated, the noise on weekend nights is absolutely unbelievable. They did state this on the website but it's to the point that if you're planning on sleeping before 3 am, stay somewhere else. If you're going to be part of the noise, this is the place for you.
The SLO Brew Lofts is a super FUN place to stay! It has a great atmosphere with modern decor, spacious and inviting! As a local wedding planner, I love recommending this place to my couples for accommodations for their wedding weekend, bachelorette or bachelor weekends, or even just a FUN stay while their in town! A little staycation here would be a dream as well!
We were prepared for city-life-noise-level, but when the live band kicked off at 9pm the front bedroom of The Vagabond Loft became front row seats. Cute, until they played every weeknight until after midnight. Too bad, the rest of the loft was cool, but having a live band within feet of your bed is just stupid.
Lofts were cool and right down town, however, the room facing the street has absolutely brutal noise levels until 2am. They mention this on the website, and i am a 25 year old kid that thought i would be Ok with it. However, it is completely unbearable! It was like sitting on top of a subwoofer all night. Additionally, they added on a cleaning fee weeks after my original quote and the rules are very strict (more than 3 bags of trash cost you 150$ Fee). they told me to park in the loading zone out front to unload luggage, parked and took my luggage up (took about 2 mins) and i got a ticket… currently dealing with the dispute with SLO PD. The lofts manager was very unapologetic and seemed aware this has happened again or could happen.
The NOISE LEVEL is INTOLERABLE and UNACCEPTABLEDO NOT STAY HERE IF YOU WANT TO GET ANY SLEEP before 2amWhile at the very bottom of the website it says it can get loud this is a COMPLETE understatement of what you have to endureWe had a six hour drive ahead and had no sleep for the two nights prior. There should have been a complete disclosure of the actual noise levels at the time of booking not just something at the bottom of a website that can be missed.
Pros: Central location close to great eats, drinks, and shopping. Spacious, comfortable, attractive and well-appointed accommodations.Cons: Noise level from the bar/club below the lofts can be intense. I cannot overstate the negative impact of the noise on our stay experience - caveat emptor. Parking is a few blocks from the building, which isn't a big issue unless you're not able to unload/load due to street closure for events.
Extremely loud event space located directly below. It was kind of a bummer but well posted when booking. Inside was unique and clean. Well suited to the area
The lofts are beautiful and nicely situated in the downtown area. We enjoyed our stay EXCEPT for one thing - the down comforters were way too warm for late May. We asked for lighter bedding and were told nothing else was available. All four of us had very warm and restless nights. We tried to turn the air conditioner on to cool the room to 60 but it would only go to 65 - still too warm. So that's my only suggestion. Get alternate bedding possibilities.
