Skippers is hands down my favorite cafe i’ve tried in SLO! Their coffee is amazing, I especially recommend the SLO Fashioned (which comes with a sick skull shaped ice cube) and the chocolate sea salt caramel latte. Their baked goods are also delicious and you can’t go wrong with their meat pies and rolls! The staff here are always super friendly as well. Love that the drinks always come with a mini cookie :)
My favorite coffee place in SLO! Highly recommend their sea salt caramel flavor in an iced latte with almond milk. Staff are always super friendly and it's a great place to study with lots of outlets. The parking lot is rarely full. Inside is airy and light - very peaceful. Be sure to check out their jewelry on sale from local artists.
I'm jealous of anyone who lives in SLO and gets to enjoy Skippers Brew all the time. We stopped on our way back to the Bay Area from the central coast and had a wonderful experience.The owners and staff were working hard on a busy Sunday, but we ordered our drinks and had them in hand and found a great spot on the patio in no time at all.The crowd is friendly and clearly having a good time. The drinks were fabulous. We tried 3 different matcha lattes- taro, coconut and blueberry and enjoyed them all. My favorite may have been the blueberry, but coconut was delish too!Definitely will make it a stop whenever we make it down that way.
Staff is super friendly I love a great mocha latte. A bit disappointed this morning. I need to stay away from the spicy Mexican mocha latte.
We came across this coffee spot by accident earlier today and we are already excited for our next visit.We tried some recommendations: I had an almond/coconut latte that was everything I didn't know I wanted. My better half got a salted caramel latte and lit up with joy after the first sip.While the coffee was great, the staff was definitely the highlight of our visit. Luke & Quoia we're both charming and helpful. We have some odd food allergies but they were both attentive and made sure we were never at risk.We are definitely coming back and recommending this spot to everyone ?
Was visiting down from Los Angeles and decided to this coffee place since it was down the street of our hotel, I had the SLO old fashion, and it hands down the best cold brew I have ever tried. Nice and strong with a tangy citrus sweet flavor, it was just so dang good, the spinach feta croissant was also delicious and friendly service.
AMAZING coffees and teas, EXCELLENT customer service, and DELICIOUS Australian and California based cuisine. Skipper's Brew coffee house is FANTASTIC! It is an essential and necessary coffee house providing a beautifully affirming environment and safe space for folks of all identities, especially for our queer and trans community. I highly recommend Skipper's Brew Coffee House!!
I wanted to like the coffee, but I did not. The crew did everything right, the espresso was poured well, but it did not work for me. The roast they used is way too dark. The beans are so burnt it is hard to tell what it is.
The coffee here is so good! You gotta try the SLO Old Fashioned. It is amazing! It's such a unique coffee drink, and you can definitely taste the notes of citrus in it. It's so smooth. I was trying hard not to drink so fast so I can savor the flavors.
Excellent coffee n pastries, super friendly staff, and a kickass sign. What more could you want?
