Wow! What a fun place right in the heart of SLO with the best slow cooked legit BBQ and the corn pie side is a gluten-free life changer

Holy smokes I love this place. Best tri tip around, and you must get it on sourdough (sliders or sando)!!! I also love their corn cakes, and even the strawberry salad. Amazing customer service, it’s fast, delicious and you won’t be disappointed!

We used Old SLO BBQ Co. to cater our wedding this past weekend and they did an AMAZING job! The food was absolutely delicious and we had so many compliments from everyone who attended. So many people went back for seconds as well! From the very beginning Kevin was great at communicating with us! We got to try some of the food ahead of time to make sure what we wanted, they came out to the venue to see the setup plan ahead of time, and were so extremely accommodating the day of! I can't say enough great things about Kevin and his whole crew! Thank you so much!!!

It's always been delicious when I've came here. Adding their coleslaw to the pulled pork sandwich is so good. (& I believe you have to ask for them to put bbq sauce on if you want it, otherwise it wont have any, but i could be mistaken). Same with if you want your meat more well done, I'm sure they'd be happy to cook it to your liking, upon request.& they were also helping out with feeding people in need when everything was shut down in 2020 which was so awesome of them to do! Its just a great place that's been around for a long time!

Tried the Tri tip plate. Tri tip was tough, not tender. I don’t know if I would come back, could have been an off day for tri tip? my wife had the Cobb salad with grilled chicken, she did love it!

2021 was not the best year for me:Due to complications with the COVID vaccine. I was left paralyzed and left in an almost vegetative state. In the hospital, it came out that my wife was having an affair with the male nurse. This led to a divorce, and as I can't even take care of myself. My wife and her new Nurse lover got full custody of all 5 of my kids.I was truly in the lowest part of my life. But you still have to eat right? So I decided to take a chance on Old Slo BBQ.I ordered the tri tip sandwich. I was able to get a kind, blonde, bright eyed, well dressed, employee to help feed me.With each passing bite, the immense weight of losing my kids and being crippled under an insurmountable debt in medical expenses was lifted off bit by bit.Hot tears streaming down my face. I thought of the gentle but firm hands that have painstakingly crafted such a magnificent and exquisite piece of western cuisine. I choked back a sob when the last bit of food touched my quivering lips.At that moment, only one word entered my mind:Relief

I'm from Ventura and my daughter and I were driving to San Francisco with a baby. Stopped here by chance, had the best pulled pork sandwich ever. And the beer taps were awsome. Baby was welcome. Nice people! GO!

I got my online order at the right time. Came with a whole bunch of bbq sauce cups and absolutely no salsa like I ordered. I asked for my chicken sandwich to be made without onions, and it came packed with onions. When we took it back in to correct the order, they threw the second sandwich together in a rush. It wasn't even really put together, and the bread wasn't toasted it was really charred and completely solid. STILL no salsa this second time around. I spent so much money, I looked forward to the meal, and I couldn't even really eat it because it took so much hassle to even get the meal. Why are they trying to run a BBQ joint, a burger joint, and a self-serve taproom in one place? I don't blame the employees, I blame the absolutely stressful environment and probably understaffed situations that these employees have to deal with. Shame on this company.

Delicious, meaty, heavy but not too greasy! I like that they give you lots of bbq but I would almoooost prefer it was tossed in bbq prior because the sauce was soo good and the bread could handle it, but I can see why they don't (the meat purists). Delicious snack for the road, but we had to stop and eat it outside our car because of the sauce..which we got all over the hood of the car haha.

You place your order and then pick it up when ready. You can get your order to go or dine in or outdoors on the patio next to San Luis Creek. We opted for the patio, very pleasant. The food was great!!! We had a tri tip platter with garlic bread and bbq beans, plus a tri tip sandwich with fries, both with strawberry lemonade. Yum.
