WOW!!i just had a delicious lunch here; divine! perfection!!! BRAVO!!!! thank you :)))
Hawaiian chicken had a good taste but I was missing a bbq flavor. Macaroni salad was oddly sweet as well as teriyaki sauce. Friendly staff and decent portion for the price.
Flavors are off for Hawaiian food. Sauces are extremely sweet. Spam wasn’t grilled properly; looked sliced and microwaved. Worst mac salad I’ve ever had; truly an affront to macaroni salad, if it can even be legally called that. I don’t think the creator of this place has a Hawaiian food background at all. Much better Hawaiian in AG and Santa Maria. I really wanted to like it, as it’s now the closest Hawaiian place to us and we love Hawaiian food, but it’s just off with the flavors and menu selection. Bummer.
My wife and I tried Nobu and overall had a great experience. They have a prime location downtown, everything was very clean and modern. The staff was wonderful, very welcoming and helpful. I ordered the Hawaiian BBQ Chicken combo, my wife got the Chicken Katsu combo and we shared a bowl of clam chowder. Portions were plentiful. They have a unique take and flavor to their BBQ chicken, thin cut, seasoned, sauce on the side. Chicken Katsu was more conventional. The macaroni side and clam chowder were both very good. We will be back again to try more of their menu.
trying new foods, another preparation, with a good flavor, something different that is worth trying each dish, good attention from your staff, I recommend it ..
I came here to eat lunch. I paid $16 + tax for one plate of teriyaki mix. The ribs have a strong vinegar flavor and are very fatty. The best meat on the plate was the chicken. The chicken didn't have an overpowering flavor. The beef was very fatty and had a coffee or similar flavor to it. At this location, I recommend avoiding the beef. The macaroni salad wasn't really impressive. It was simply simple macaroni salad with very little flavor. The cole slaw was mediocre at best and tasted like water. The location is convenient to downtown, and if you have a stroller, the outside sitting is convenient. With a stroller, getting around the indoors is difficult.
Excellent food and service. I had the crispy shrimp, my wife had the chicken mini meal. Portions were plentiful and cooked to perfection.
bizzare place. as if someone who’s never been to a restaurant decided to open their own.unclear how to order (cashier apathetic, bizzare ordering kiosk)got the wrong orderabsolutely chaotic service. no clear understanding of how to get our food. so a line formed at the counter and they would just ask what you ordered and make itthis place is not going to last unless they visit another restaurant and understand how to operate
Flavors do not reflect traditional Hawaiian-style BBQ and food. Their balance of spices is off and technique is just wrong. I had the Loco Moco: the egg was over cooked, patty was dry and had too much ginger, and the Mac salad was sweet. Some friends came with me and had some other things. The overall consensus was that the food had this underlying sweetness that did not belong there. The food was relatively expensive and not worth the price.
Going to need improvement flavor wise if they want to stay in business
