good food, tvs to watch the games.
excellent food, atmosphere and staff. My fiancé and I were actually looking to eat elsewhere unroll we came upon Mother's. After perusing the menu, we decided to give this place a try. staff was amazing from the start. we loved the atmosphere and the food was great to. definitely will be dropping in again soon
Went and sat at the bar. It was a Thursday, the SLO farmers market was bustling on the street and the place was fairly busy but we grabbed the open stools. Waited quite a while before the male bartender finally acknowledged us. Female was too busy chatting with the young guys at the bar about her recent trip to Vegas. Disappointing. One and done.
Mother's Tavern is right in the middle of downtown San Luis with a fair bit of street parking (pay at the kiosk). It's a casual place with seating inside and out. They offer a good selection of beer on tap. I ordered a BLTA (BLT with avocado) and it was delicious--the toasted sourdough was spread with garlic aioli, the bacon was thick and nicely smoked, the avocado was perfectly ripe. It was a very large sandwich and could easily be shared. The fries were wonderful--crispy and well seasoned. My husband's western bacon cheeseburger was also very large with double patties & onion rings--juicy, messy and delicious. Come here if you are really hungry!!
Amazing little pub with a college feel. The service was decent considering the situation that were in. Definitely worth checking out if your in town
Pleasant drinks but utterly ignored by staff, asked for menu and it never appeared even though i had 3 drinks sat at the bar.
Good food and beer selection. Veggie friendly options. Would def go again.
Good food, perfect spot downtown. Loved the outside seating and Owen was an incredible server!
This place was so friendly and great fries and drinks. We are on our honey moon and the bar tender gave us great recommendations for places to go. It was nice to sit there and have a conversation with him. Thanks mothers tavern!
