Food and mixed drinks were outstanding! Well proportioned tacos that were very tasty and perfectly seasoned.
Visiting from out of town and a friend recommended this place. Great food great atmosphere but our waiter topped off the night for us. People seem to forget about how important eye contact is these days... Not the case for our waiter John. John S. was very attentive to all of our needs. He kept us in the loop of timing, but in a caring and friendly way rather than being overbearing. His passion for La Esquina really shined through in all of his interactions. John was a stellar waiter and would return just to see him again.
La Esquina is one of my favorite restaurants in SLO! A go-to for date night with my partner. Food is delicious, staff is always warm & incredibly kind. I recommend queso as an appetizer, Bentley margarita to drink, and the enchiladas. Shoutout to JP, an epic host and server!
Visiting from up North down here for a wedding. Never been to San Luis Obispo didn't know what was good and what wasn't. Happy to find this place, very service, great food. I would definitely go back to this place next time I come down this way.
The hostess & host were very welcoming. They were quick to put out the warm tortilla chips & salsas. They took our drink orders right away & brought them in no time. The same with our orders. We shared the bacon wrapped taquitas which were delicious. I had the prawn enchiladas with verde sauce which was amazing. We shared the chocolate mousse dessert in huge churro shells-yummy! Will definitely return!
Came here with my team from KY, training in town, and this place was one of our favorites! The service was top notch and the food was phenomenal and fresh. 10/10 ☺️
The food here is fine- which would be acceptable if they charged normal prices for it, but they don't. The atmosphere is nice and the service is attentive, but know going in that food is a bit lackluster for the cost.

Loved the atmosphere, so many great tequila options. I had a jalapeño margarita. Save room for dessert it's amazing.
I've been to La Esquina Taqueria 3 times now, and each time I enjoyed my meal. In addition, each time I got great service from my friendly and knowledgeable server. I will be back.
