Very good sandwich made to order will go again.
I've tried several of their breads and rolls. Personally, I don't care for how dry/chewy their bread is, so I only get the chocolate zucchini bread now. That is my taste though, it's a very popular spot, with good ingredients that also offer gluten free breads and treats.

When we are in San Luis to visit family, House of Bread is always one of the first stops we make. We pick up bread to take to family and to bring home. Their breads are awesome, and the sandwiches are scrumptious. This trip we picked up two loaves of jalapeno cheese bread, chocolate zucchini, banana nut bread, and blueberry muffins. Never disappointed, it all was fresh, soft and full of flavor. This trip we picked up a sandwich to take to the beach for a picnic. They use Boar Head deli meat, and the bread is fresh and soft. The veggies inside are crisp and fresh. Can't wait to go back.

This place has delicious food but the employees are pretty repulsive with the way I've seen them coughing without covering their mouths, shaking out their hair over food, not wearing their hair up, and touching the money and then the food. 5 stars to the food, 1 star to the hiring manager.

Enjoyed watching the artisans making bread. Offered samples, which helped us decide on a breakfast baguette and a pumpkin cinnamon roll. Well done.
