Update: This place doesnt change much. Still some good grub! All the food is good but they have a unique pastrami. Whole family love trips to Franks!

This was are first time here service was quick and I hey brought it to your table wasn't expecting that Food was good I had a chill dog and they were not shy with the chill I like how they put the cheese ? first then the chill it melts better that way we would eat here again and recommend it if you are in SLO My husband had the mushroom Swiss burger and we got fries ? they we're seasoned fries

OMG I’m so disappointed… my roommate recommended this place and by his voice I should have stayed away! Oh well I was craving a good hot dog wow… I placed my order and went over it twice I clearly stated chili for both dogs now keep in mind I was extremely hungry so he brings my dogs and I tear into the first one I noticed there was no chili ok I’m very hungry so I just continued to consume… I just cut into the polish with chili cheese NOT this one was lacking the key ingredient CHILI ok I’m bummed out now here’s the final straw that put it over the top! #1 the dogs were totally over cooked very dry #2 I tipped $10.00 on a $20.00 order I think people go there because it's easily accessible look at the recent reviews they speaks volumes… lesson learned #1 go over the order with the customer #2 you only get one chance to make a good impression… enough said spend your hard earned money elsewhere! Go to Costco for a buck.55 with a soda Dave

BLT was awesome, crisp thick bacon, all good. My Cheeseburger? Eh, rather boring and the bun didn't hold up at all-got soggy before halfway thru, I was patching the bread together to hold the patty and fillings but ended up giving up, as I wiped the mess off my lap and seat. The staff were very friendly, animated, interacted and weren't robots behind a counter. I may go back and just eat there, well see.

C'mon it's the best hangover food in SLO.. In 2012. I was a patron as a undergrad. Finally got to go back many years later as alum 20 years later and it was the one thing that has not changed at all in that town.

Food was a 5, service was a 5; prices were a 4. We were super glad we stopped here and tried something new. I had an LA dog and it was wrapped in bacon! Yum!

Todo muy rico !! Y el personal muy amable!!! Las porciones grandes

Very pricey! I had hash-browns, gravy and 1 egg with toast. Paid 11.95!!! What the hell I’m traveling and on a budget thought I would save money the guy rude and not I even helpful as sometimes places would say what is more affordable to order, in top of that They serve frozen hash browns, I thought they would have homemade fresh hash browns and that’s why so much money! I wouldn’t recommend or even come back! Unless u like frozen food go for it!! This was my meal before I even touched it! I would like my money back!!

Tried this place out and got a chili dog and jalapeno poppers. I love the way they prepare their chili dogs, I just wish mine didn't come out cold. I'm sure it would have tasted great warmed up. They advertise home made or freshly made jalapeño poppers. They tasted terrible. They were loaded with cream cheese, and I may as well have just eaten plain cream cheese.

I don’t have photos I should have made photos. Years ago 20 yrs when I worked in San Luis for a doctor the doctor and the staff would eat there . They made round hotdogs with delicious chili beans. The chili beans were red look fresh had great flavor. We went today the Winnie was old and rubbery the chili cheese was a just beans and meat no flavor color looked like left over beans chili. The only fresh was the tomatoe. Soo disappointed the only think is the place was clean even the bathrooms my hotdog was a sloppy mess just disappointed obviously under new management.
