Got here around 8pm on a Wednesday and was surprised by the lack of line, given that we'd seen such a long one the day before. The food was delicious, and we got a table right next to the pizza oven!We ordered 3 pizzas between the 3 of us and honestly 2 would probably have been enough, but the leftovers still tasted SO good the next day.Pizzas:- Burrata Antipasto (5/5): This was SO good, and they gave us so much burrata!- Affumicata (4.5/5): This definitely would've been better if the pizza wasn't a little burnt, but the flavor was still there- Carbonara Tartufata (4.5/5): Was good, but honestly couldn't really taste the truffleDessert:- Semifreddo alla Nocciola (4/5): This reminded me of a fancier 3 Musketeers. I think it might've been a little frozen when it came out so we had a really hard time cutting into it - our spoons kept sliding off the chocolate and hitting the plate instead! Once we were able to eat it though, you could definitely taste how rich it was
Came here for dinner on a recent NorCal vacation. Being from New Jersey, my husband said he would never eat pizza outside of the NY/NJ area. Since all the reviews talk about the pizza, he ended up ordering the Ciró, and said afterwards it might have been the best pizza he’s ever had ?? Amazing food, great atmosphere and super friendly staff - a must stop when visiting SLO!
The best, most authentic Italian, wood-fired, gluten-free pizza crust I've ever had! We stop here every time we drive through SLO! Do not miss this place. The chef behind the gluten-free crust recipe should really consider selling it to pizza places across America. There is a desperate need. Gluten-free pizza crust is often a major disappointment. The Flour House is never disappointing!
Good food, terrible service! Ordered an appetizer and pizza about 5 minutes after sitting down. Pizza arrived to table an hour and 35 minutes after we were seated. Our server: Sterling, was mostly unfriendly. No 'hellos', 'how are you's', 'do you need anything', just 'are you ready to order' and 'pizza should be out soon' (which it wasn't). I'm glad we tried it as Its a great atmosphere inside but the overall food and dining experience is not worth the hype.
Best. Pizza. Ever.Seriously, we stopped by on a rainy pre-Christmas December Thursday, the seating was plentiful (if a bit too close-by for proper social distancing in the Pandemic), the service was great, the cocktails amazing and the pizza?Well, we're not sure we can have pizza anywhere else, ever again. Not even kidding. 1000ºF for 90 seconds, done, served. Amazing.Parents: be advised this is not a kid-friendly pizza parlour, this is an adult-oriented Italian restaurant, that happens to also serve pizza.
I’ve been traveling through all California the last weeks , I’m filming every thing I do in every city for my YouTube channel and I’ll definitely recommend this place, lasagna was delicious and we also ordered Arancini as appetizer and a Queen margarita + pancetta, pane, and me and my boyfriend got 4 drinks. Drinks were also perfect, we are very professional on making drinks so I can tell you this are genuine bar drinks! Server Sierra was very nice and attentive. I’m very satisfied with everything.
Words cannot describe the pizza here. It's quickly become one of our "go to" stops when in SLO. The atmosphere, pizza and cocktails never disappoint. Show up early because this place gets busy and does not accept reservations!
My wife is gluten-free, and here are a few of her comments from dinner: "This is the best gluten-free bread I've ever had" "This is the best gluten-free pizza I've ever had" "Honey, when can we come back here?" We had a 1 hour and 10 minute wait to eat at the Four House on a Saturday night around 7:30, but it was worth every minute. The bugoli pasta dish was al dente perfection! The pizza is NOT the American version, with heaps of cheese and buckets of sauce, so don't expect that. It's flavorful, doughy, and has fresh herbs and ingredients that are beyond yummy. The pizza over is gorgeous and worth a quick photo, and our server was on point. Be warned, it is expensive, and you WILL be opening your wallet pretty wide to eat here (probably around $90-$100 for 2 people to have a personal sized pizza each, split a salad, and each have a single cocktail). But if you know that going in....the rest in bliss!
I am Italian and have lived and travelled all over Italy. This place tastes like home. They serve pizza by the meter on Mondays and it is to die for. All of their pizzas are baked in an imported oven built in Italy with clay from Sorrento. Each ingredient is sourced for the best quality and flavor. The final product speaks for itself. Italian husband and wife duo have made this place a landmark on the central coast. Excellent service and hospitality. Outdoor seating, patio near the sidewalk, or seating indoors: you cannot go wrong. Great cocktails too! Grazie per avermi accolto. Mi sono sentito a casa.
Good drinks, they were even able to make tricky classic cocktails. Pizza was good and prob sizes ample.
