This place is awesome the people the food a hidden jem I visit the area a couple times a month and I always eat breakfast here.
Sometimes the staff doesn't greet people who enter the building so it's confusing, do I seat myself or wait to be seated? & if you seat yourself you end up sitting there not being acknowledged until you say something to someone...so this part could be worked on. Is it a seat yourself establishment or will we be greeted & then seated?Other than that the food is quality. I love everything I've ever had here, it's so good. A top notch breakfast spot & I believe they keep up with quality, when some other places have been dwindling since 2020 happened. Glad to have the Budget Cafe!

02/09/2022When I travel out of for work I like to find small cafes mom and pop spots. Well this week I'm working nights in San Louis Obispo and woke up hungry so I Google map cafes and the BUDGET CAFE popped up let's get it a try. Service was excellent the moment I walked in the door I asked what was the most popular breakfast item they recommended the chicken fried steak with home fries it was amazing ? This cafe will have my business from here on out when I'm in the area thank you for your great hospitality and customer service and compliments to the cook.
Went for breakfast on a weekend trip. The owner used to be a teacher, and was kind, had great advice and stopped by for a fun little conversation! They also were doing a food bank donation drive at the time, which I thought was awesome!
This place has been here for as long as I have. The food is great. The employees are very pleasant and your coffee is always hot.
Me and my parents went there today for breakfast and absolutely loved it. The food was amazing and so was the service. I strongly recommend!
Good selection of full breakfasts on the menu and on the special menu. Eggs are cooked properly so are the potatoes whether you get hash browns or home fries they'll even cook them crispier if you want them to a wide range of meats to go with those usually toast is included also. The breakfast range from about $11.50 to $12.50 for today's higher prices with everything that's going on it's very reasonable for the amount and quality of food you get not to mention good service.

I love this little Cafe.I always have the biscuits and gravy and they never fail to satisfy. The staff are friendly and efficient. It's got the good old diner/cafe feel to it.
