Unfortunately this most recent visit was very disappointing. We are pretty regular here but hadn't visited in a couple months. When we arrived we were greeted and seated immediately. However, after we had ordered it took an hour and a half to receive our food. The restaurant wasn't busy which made us sad. The meal was warm but seemed like it had sat. During the wait, I decided to just get up and request a refill of soda. Not our typical experience but I fear that since they are looking for a line cook, that could have been the reason for the delay. There was plenty of wait staff though which was nice to see, just not helpful inside the restaurant. Such a bummer.
Delicious! My brunch came in an adorable cast iron skillet. Their house-made hot sauce was fantastic as well.
Shrimp creole was very flavorful. Very nice vibe to the restaurant as well.
I've only eaten here once, but I'm already hooked. The catfish po boy was delicious, can't wait to try the shrimp Po boy. They have Abita on tap. Atmosphere was fun and cozy, and the service was excellent!
Eggs Sardou is my go to with and English muffin bc i don't know what kind of voodoo goes into making that bread but it's otherworldly. Heads up: very busy on a Sunday morning/brunch. Servers are so nice and truly working their hardest, but wait times can be long.
Very delicious home inspired meals! Good culture cuisine
The food and service was excellent! The food came out hot and was seasoned to perfection. Don't leave without getting an order of hush puppies!
I don’t understand the hype of this place. Their food is mediocre, service is terrible and the whole restaurant needs a good deep clean. I assuming management doesn’t care anymore. Our waitress flipped out when we told her our poached egg was hard boiled. She later came to her senses and comp the breakfast. Only plus French toast and champagne.
Pleasantly surprised. Older rustic looking building with older looking outdoor patio. The rustic look spans the entire restaurant inside and out. Menu has a great selection of creole dishes. The food was fantastic. The plates were put together as if they were pieces of art. Everything was hot and fresh. The sweet cornbread was excellent. The service was excellent. Our server, I'm sorry I've forgotten her name, was very friendly and attentive to our needs. I would recommend everyone giving this place a try as you will find yourself repeating your visit over and over.
The food is great here. I had a omelette. It was delicious. The hash browns are the bomb. Super crispy, the way I like them. You can substitute your toast or biscuit for a pancake/crape. It’s delish. The service is great and attentive.
