I noticed something was off with the cashier when I politely placed my order—she seemed brusque and like she didn’t want to be there. She told me that it would be about 15 minutes’ wait for the food and told me to sit outside. I used the restroom and wandered around their shop for a few minutes. My drink was ready so I sipped it at the counter, checking my phone messages. It had been I’m guessing around 10 minutes by that point. Since the cashier didn’t say anything about my toast being on its way, I lingered at the cashier station, sipping my drink. She asked me if I wanted to order anything. I said that I was waiting for the second half of my order, which I had ordered awhile ago. Again in a brusque tone she said “It’s actually been only 5 minutes. Please wait over there so I can wait on the next people in line.” My bad that I didn’t realize there was a couple behind me. The moment could have been fixed with a polite “Your toast is on its way—can I have you please stand over there so I can help the couple behind you?” Instead, she chose to argue about the time and talk in a rude, shaming tone to me. So let it be made very clear that they are very particular about where you wait for your order and will shame you if you do not wait in the unmarked designated space. Do not expect communication when half of the order is served. And do not expect to be treated with common polite courtesy. I felt like she related to me like I was a rude good for nothing. Bad vibes.

First of all, I have to give it to Bliss for having one of the nicest dining areas. I loved the chess sets and the plants and lights in the indoor eating area. The staff were also very friendly. This was my first time and I might have ordered some bad items (Everyday Breakfast and TNT - it was a sandwich with a lentil patty) because this was some of the worst food I’ve ever put in my body. I regularly eat vegan because I just don’t like handling meat and what I love about vegan is the push to balance flavour and texture and the light satiated feeling you get afterwards. The everyday breakfast was not that. The tofu smelled weird and had a very one dimensional salty flavour; just overall ruined my appetite. The lentil sandwich patty had a very offputting texture, and only tasted of soy sauce. The potatoes tasted very salty and a flat rosemary seasoning that clashed poorly with the homogenous salt. Overall, very uninspired taste for such good ingredients. Afterwards, I also felt very heavy and slow; it felt like there was a lot of oil or light carbs in there, not sure exactly why I felt so bad.I normally give the benefit of the doubt and just don’t review food that isn’t good, but these menu items had to be called out because I think Bliss has everything else right and just needs to revisit the menu. I otherwise would come to this spot all the time.

I love these places in San Luis Obispo. My daughter brought the Buddha salad home one day, and became a connection with this place for me.The team is fantastic and the space is very calmThank you!

This cafe, tucked into a little multishop area right off Higuera, offers good bowls and other vegan options. Avocado toast was great, acai bowl delicious. There are also grab and go things available that are not on the online menu.

Lovely spot in SLO, delicious to go salads and snack choices!! Friendly welcoming staff. Only in town for a weekend and kept going back to Bliss!

This place is great. I used to live in SLO and would visit often since, at the time, it was one of the few vegan places in town. I’m here on vacation and hitting up my old spots and I’m so glad to see this place still here after Covid. The food is always amazing. I usually get a smoothie and an entree and it’s consistently great! If you’re passing through and don’t eat meat, this place is perfect. Plus, the atmosphere is great too. There’s pretty, modern seating inside and lots of outdoor seating outside near the river. Love this place ?

Food seems healthy, but very very bland. The person who took my order (the one with curly moustache) was very unfriendly for some reason and I would say even impatient. Then, I asked another guy who worked there if they had a restroom and he replied defensively "I don't wear masks" which had nothing to do with the restroom but then he realized I was just asking for the restroom and gave me a code. Maybe their issue was that I was wearing a mask, or maybe that I had an accent or maybe that I am pregnant. IDK but it was not a good experience eating there. I wish at least the food was worth it.

Stopped in for a Golden Milk drink after a nice hike on the Johnson Trail. So yummy ? and the outside seating area is so relaxing & nice.

This is a vegan place. I'm not a vegan. But I am a pancake connoisseur and they're vegan, gluten-free pancakes or so fluffy and delicious. It was a delightful experience. We had the little dog on the back patio but unfortunately it was a little chilly and they didn't have heaters

Love the food! Portion sizes are great.I ordered Buddha Bowl and Tumeric latte. Recommend it!
