The chili Mac was the best I’ve ever had. It was so creamy and delicious! So savory. My husband also enjoyed his chicken pesto sandwich was was superb. The waitress was very nice and my husband liked his hot coffee and I enjoyed my cranberry juice. The vibes are very chill and you can actually hear the music without it being too loud. I loved it here. Good vibes, drinks and food, what more can you ask for.
We were walking around Cambria looking for somewhere to eat, and there are plenty to pick from. We wandered into Black Sheep. It was chilly outside, they had the fireplace going. The young lady who was bartender/server was attentive and very efficient. The food...delicious. Had the sausage sandwich and it was grilled perfectly, had a snap when you bit into it. Loved this place.
Went in and took the 2 empty stools at the bar. Young female bartender was pretty prompt to acknowledge us and get us a drink. That was it though…never asked if we wanted a food menu or another drink even though we sat with empty glasses for quite a while. Noticed 2 young ladies come in, sit at the end of the bar for nearly 10 minutes before they got up and left - even though there were 3 people behind the bar. 2 were chatting with one another and the other was listening to a man at the bar drone on…she needs training on how to say “you’re super fascinating but I should really go wait on the others…”
Excellent food and great drinks. ? I have eaten here maybe 3 times and have ordered the same thing so, I can only comment on the goat cheese salad. I honestly do not prefer salads but this one has me hooked. It has cranberries, walnuts and goat cheese and sun-dried tomatoes and adding their chicken just makes it all the better. Their blue cheese dressing is amazing.
Dinner took forever and everything was mediocre. Even the macaroni and cheese, which supposedly they are known for, had very little flavor. I definitely would not recommend Black Sheep.
This is my favorite bar in SLO. It actually feels like an English pub.
Always a favorite. If you're looking for a real bar with good food and heavy pours, this is the place. The menu is classic and never disappoints. Whether you want tacos or mac n cheese or a tasty sandwich you really can't go wrong. I have been coming here for years and the staff always seem to be pretty consistent which makes it feel familiar. Very hometown vibe which will keep me coming back. Thanks!
The fish tacos were delicious!! So full of cod I could not finish both tacos. We had the guacamole as appetizer and it was good too. All employees were friendly and greeted everyone that entered the pub.
