Great food, but pricey! Maybe won’t come back because the price.
I ordered the Pad Thai with tofu but it was missing the tofu. It’s a saucy Pad Thai. It has chili flakes but isn’t spicy which is fine but it wasn’t very flavorful. Something tasted off with the Thai tea but couldn’t really figure out what. ??♀️
Came to eat here at 3pm. Not open. They should be open the hours they advertise.
Fantastic service and the pork belly was amazing. It came out freshly cooked and hot and tasted amazing! My friend got the coconut shrimp and she said it was to die for.
The food was pretty good. Smaller portions, and the wait time was super long. Pricing was okay, but overall, a good place to go if you’re not stricken for time.
Local Take: Wow...great Homestyle Thai food in a food court in SLO-town...along with fresh reasonably priced eats! Who would have predicted this? Not me. While there are tons of Thai places in SLO County, it is really hard to find homestyle food...and the only one that this place rivals is a tiny Templeton Farmers Market vendor who also crafts homemade eats.Baht not only is homestyle but puts modern twists on both food prep. & the menu itself. My Thai Curry came out simply dreamy, along with a puffed egg on top [which was new to me].The Curry has a long name, which was Pinto Box Pork Shoulder Jungle Curry. It was a perplexing name, but after a few tentative nibbles, I just engulfed it like the old "Blob" movie...in which a relative played the staring role decades ago...JK.I initially wanted the soup, but they were out, and Pad Thai sounded a bit too pedestrian...so PBPSJC was it.Baht's curry was just the right balance of spicey, savory, & complexity. They also had the right amount of Jasmine Rice with the fresh food. The curry was so yummy that I did not even take one pic of it!In the kitchen itself, they had some ultramodern rotating Wok-like drums that they quick cooked their wonderful eats. Super cool & super yummy.Since I am obviously enamored with these set of vendors in the SLO Public Market, I had to return in just two days to have more.On this visit, I wanted to try more Baht's Thai food & this time I had the pleasure to meet the owner, Tanya. She was wonderful & very helpful with food selection & cooking methods. This time I decided to try the Thai Soup, the Fried Shrimp & Eggrolls.Again, I wolfed it all down, but this time I did take pictures. Both fried items came with different sauces. The Shrimp were beyond stellar & are among the very best shrimp I have had in years. The Thai soup had a clever two compartment take out dish, which keep everything from getting waterlogged.I only stepped away a few feet from Baht to consume my delicacies in the Market Common area. The soup was really savory & not too spicey. It had a good balance of the ingredients and did remind me of some Vietnamese soups.I am so please with Baht & the surrounding vendors since they are all very tempting and various ones are open from 3 to even 7 days a week, until about 7-8 PM. Many open around 10-12 AM as well. These places are ideal for locals who crave gourmet dishes for lunch or dinner in a relaxed casual atmosphere. As for my favorite overall vendor, I would have to say Baht, since I just adore great Thai food. Of course, I also eat almost everything else in the food court, and can have a multi course international meal either here or for take out.I am not aware of anything like this place in all of SLO County and we have eagerly awaited these fine food vendors in SLO Public Market. I really wish them all success. It kind of reminds me of some of the food court ideas on the Embarcadero in SF....but this is far far closer to home...just a few miles & a few minutes away for me!I have likely tried almost every Thai place in this county & this is the top choice in my book. While so far, they have a few choices, those are stellar ones at that....and just happen to be what I would get anyway in other places. In many ways this is superior to other Thai places, since it is fast, fresh, causal, and fantastic. You can also combine a Thai dish with an appetizer from another country via another vendor or even cool off your palate with some Buffalo Ice cream from Perfect Scoop around the corner. Bottlecraft can provide one with all kinds of beverages to go with all your choices. Since CCC or Torritelli is right across, you can also get some great Italian eats to either make at home or reheat.Regardless of what else one gets here, I think Baht's Curry stands out as the best of the best here. Thanks Tanya for opening this wonderful place !
Great location, great food, great people! Definitely the best Pad Thai I've had in SLO. Can't wait to come back.Update: came back the next day. Still tasty.
