We stopped by @ bites for a quick meal and were very happy with the experience! We ordered beef pho, chicken pho, fried seafood balls, garlic lemon shrimp, and fruity in da pine smoothie. The food came quickly and was delicious—we were especially pleased with the pho, as the broth was balanced and not too salty which we liked. Service was also very friendly!

Delicious food! I got the fried fish balls, grilled beef spring rolls, and black milk. Would definitely recommend!

This is my first time trying this place and I ordered Shaking Beef and Lemon Leaf Grilled Chicken for my partner. The food was ok, not that great. The Shaking beef and sauce was pretty bland all I can say they probably forget to put some seasoning to make it flavorful. Wish they would improve there flavor as if it lacked of flavor.

Just skip the Shaking Beef. After the wonderful tasty sauce wears off, the beef was just bland and chewy to me.I enjoyed the shrimp spring roles and I look forward to trying other items on the menu.

Great food, atmosphere & service

This was my first time and it was incredible! The shrimp Pho was fantastic and a huge portion! The pork ribs were so flavorful, cooked perfectly and the veggies were so good. We all had smoothies and they were fantastic too! My husband has traveled extensively and eaten lots of Vietnamese food and he said this place was so good and very authentic! We will definitely be back!

Phong Anh L. (Business Owner) It was our Anniversary and wanting to do something special we opted for a hopefully “unique” dinner out. Always looking to “go ethnic “ for “a real” dining experience, on this occasion we decided to give At Bites in San Luis Obispo, a self proclaimed Vietnamese, Asian Fusion restaurant a try. Never having eaten this type of fare, we had no expectations other than those given by other Reviewers. The establishment was easy to find and can be seen from Santa Rosa St.. The dining room was clean and spartan. On this night, very few diners were actually enjoying their meals in the dining area. The Menu Boards were colorful and presented the food offerings attractively. So far, so good. We selected the following: 2X Grilled Beef Spring Rolls, 1X Asian Wings and 2X Grilled BEEF Bahn Mi. The Associate who took our order could not answer questions about the Menu (that was a little disconcerting)…so several other Associates chimed in when asked. The order was “to go” and due to “the occasion, our Anniversary, we didn’t check the order in order to get home quickly. Needless to say, it was completely WRONG. Sad! No Asian Wings (So…0/5). One of the Grilled BEEF Bahn Mi wasn’t BEEF at all…nope, it was Pork. Neither of us like Pork…so we ended up sharing one sandwich. Again, unlike other Reviewers who had opined about the Bahn Mi Sandwiches based on actual knowledge…we had none, but felt the quantity of “meat” in our “shared” sandwich was “meager”. Instead there were veggies “a plenty”. Grilled BEEF Bahn Mi (2/5). The Grilled Beef Spring Rolls were tasty with the provided Peanut Sauce (4/5) (I’ve had peanut sauces prior, living in Singapore, at the Government Hawker Stalls…now, that is a culinary experience!). All in all a really disappointing experience. Therefore, on this occasion, At Bites in SLO, in this Reviewer’s opinion did not “represent, what they are truly capable of”, earning a 2 Points, go if it’s calling your name review.

I came with my friend. Open indoor restaurant and patio seating. She had a huge bowl of pho, half going home with her. I had a taste of the broth...savory with anise. Full of noodles and beef plus sprouts and some veggies. I loved my bahn mi sandwich with pork, pickled veggies and slices of fresh jalapenos. Next time, she is getting my sando and me, her pho. The bread was perfect, soft, slight crust, not hard to bite into. Overall, great experience. Will be back. Very reasonable price for the quality and amount of food.

Really gross pork bahn mi. Meat was like “head cheese”. I almost puked and pulled the meat off and ate the bread and veggies.I have eaten better bahn mi at Urbane Cafe.My spouse got something with a fried egg on it and the WHITES were runny. Gross and risk of salmonella poisoning. Also: stupid nondescript name for an Asian restaurant.

Spent over $100 take-out. Best deal and taste are the lamb chops and shrimp spring rolls. The hot lemon chicken according to my husband tasted like “cafeteria chicken.” He said the Costco rotisserie chicken at 1/3 the price is much tastier. He wouldn’t rush out to go there again.
